I think Dawson should fight Roy Jones Jr. The names at the top of the LHW division that actually carry weight are all the old timers (B-Hop, Johnson, Tarver, RJJ... ) He should just continue down the line and fight Jr.cause he's unlikely to land a fight the Hopkins... So why not fight another future HOF??? See if he's good enough to beat a past-his-prime-but-still-an-ok-boxer RJJ. Lol

I either score it one point for Dawson or i have it even. I gave Dawson 6 rounds and Johnson 5, but sometimes when i rewatch it, i give Johnson 6 rounds as well because a lot of those rounds were very close. That's why i said that they have to be blind to call that fight any kind of robbery.

Even my friend who knows nothing about boxing, thought Collazo won the fight. I told him they won't give it to Collazo, they'll give it to Berto because he's undefeated and he's backed up by HBO. He didn't believe me and wanted to bet(before the scorecards were being announced) I told him I know Collazo won but they won't give it to him, save your money. Berto was announced the winner and my friend was in shock.

The Dawson fight was close too but Dawson put the early-mid rounds in the bank and came back in the championship rounds.

Dawson said he wants to move down to 168 after he beats Tarver, I think that's bull ****. He knows there is unfinished business in 175 and since Glen Johnson is now available (he was suppose to fight Tomasz Adamek) this fight has to happen. There is no other option except mandatory Tavoris Cloud, and he hasn't fought in a year. Or he can drop down to 168, but Dawson is well aware that he would be criticized for doing that (he reads boxing forums).

1. Bernard Hopkins (49-5-1)


He called out cruiserweight champ Tomasz Adamek for what would have been an excellent fight with historical implications, but then made a ridiculous and disrespectful offer that didn't take into account how much money Adamek would bring to the table. If Hopkins is going to fight again, and he's already flatly said he wants no part of Chad Dawson, the only remotely interesting option he has is a rematch with Roy Jones. Of course, greed on both sides has killed that fight time and again for a decade.

2. Chad Dawson (27-0)

Although Dawson schooled Antonio Tarver in their first fight in the fall, they'll do it again, but only because Tarver invoked his rematch clause. The bout marks Dawson's HBO debut. Too bad it wasn't a better matchup.

3. Glen Johnson (49-12-2)

Johnson was ready, willing and able to challenge cruiserweight champ Tomasz Adamek, but Showtime was already booked this summer and HBO unfortunately turned it down, leaving Johnson with nothing in the works. It's a shame because even though he is 40, he's still a hell of a fighter who makes exciting fights. Somebody should give him another chance.

4. Zsolt Erdei (30-0)

Erdei outpointed Ukraine's Yuri Barashian (now 25-5) on Jan. 10, but the bout was rendered a nontitle fight because Barashian failed to make weight.

5. Antonio Tarver (27-5)

If you're a Tarver fan, you can hang your hat on one thing going into the rematch with Dawson, who beat him easily in the fall. In rematches, Tarver is 3-0 in his career, having reversed the outcome against Roy Jones, Eric Harding and Glen Johnson.

6. Roy Jones Jr. (53-5)

After Jones' fifth-round knockout of faded Omar Sheika, there was some discussion that Jones might challenge Adamek for the cruiserweight title, but that went nowhere because there was no network interest. Now, Jones is talking about meeting fellow Florida native and former super middleweight titlist Jeff Lacy in another fight that could be headed to a dead end because no networks are interested in that fight, either.

7. Adrian "The Shark" Diaconu (26-0)

With Diaconu's mandatory against Silvio Branco in limbo, Diaconu will meet fellow Montreal resident Jean Pascal (22-1), a super middleweight contender moving up for the shot. It could be a very good fight and certainly will be a big deal in Montreal.

8. Hugo Hernan Garay (32-3)

Argentina's Garay did something very difficult to do -- go to Germany with a title and leave with it intact after taking a clear unanimous decision in his first title defense against popular German Juergen Braehmer (now 31-2) on Nov. 22.

Woods easily outpointed the laughably undeserving Elvir Muriqi in a title eliminator on Feb. 14 to move a step closer to a mandatory shot at Dawson's belt.

Since the Adamek-Johnson fight is now canceled and the other LHW belt holders are fighting other opponents, this is the only logical choice for Dawson. Now that HBO is backing up Dawson, the money should be there, and Johnson is already a name, can't see how money would be a problem. If we can only tell Dawson and his manager that.

johnson deserves a rematch. dawson should make the fight and win convincingly to remove all doubt.
