The only logical opponent for Dawson to fight next is Glen Johnson

Since the Adamek-Johnson fight is now canceled and the other LHW belt holders are fighting other opponents, this is the only logical choice for Dawson. Now that HBO is backing up Dawson, the money should be there, and Johnson is already a name. If we can only tell Dawson and his manager that.

please dont compare those two fights i hate it when people do this. berto vs collazo was a CLOSE FIGHT , could have gone either way really. it is purely based on opinion some had berto winning some had collazo winning.

dawson vs johnson however was complete highway robbery no one can legitimately argue dawson won that fight. a classic " lets give it to the kid because hes the up and coming star and johnson is a near retirement journey man " ( he aint a journeyman hes a great fighter but you know what i mean ) .

I had Johnson winning that, whilst I don't think it was a robbery, it was close but Johnson deserved it.

If anything was a robbery, it was that fight. Berto had gotten a point taken off of him, he had gassed out by the middle rounds and was arguably knocked down in the first round. I actually had Collazo winning by 3 or 4 rounds. Dawson/Johnson on the other hand, was a close fight, and anyone who claims it was a robbery either has to be blind or anti Dawson. Dawson out boxed Johnson for most of the fight, and the only thing Johnson noticeably did was shake Dawson( in rounds 3 and 10) and come on strong at the end of a few other. Every time i watch it, i either score it a point for Dawson or a draw. Watch the fight again.

Also, for those who actually pay attention to these fighters, both Dawson and Berto stated that they would be more than willing to give rematches to Johnson and Collazo.

Dawson won the first fight. Simple as that.

I wouldn't mind a rematch, but it's time for Chad to start marching forward. These old guys have had their time, and it's passed.

I'd rather see Chad fight a young LHW contender.
