Roach is perfectly capable of making a gameplan to beat Floyd. He did with Oscar (though Oscar gassed). Manny has all the tools to beat Floyd (except maybe power to hurt Floyd with 1 punch) and Roach has all the smarts to make the gameplan.

    The fight will be Manny's

Just one minor correction. The reason the fight turned in Floyd's favor was because PBF took away the jab from Oscar by adjusting his movement. Roach has admitted that Oscar couldn't adjust to PBF's adjustment.

Quick question: what gameplan would you devise to beat Floyd?

Of course he will. He studied Floyd before and they gave a good fight considering he only just had a couple of weeks with DLH compared to his 8 year partnership with Manny. Its not anymore Manny adjusting to Floyd but how would Floyd adapt to Manny's recent power and speed combo.

Guys watch Manny fighting. He throws wide shots. He was doing that against Oscar and did the same against Ricky Hatton. You cant do that against Mayweather.Mayweather will counter Manny and knock him out.In this fight Mayweather will fight from the inside and will be countering throughout.

Cut the ring coz Floyd will just potshot and run. Judges prolly wont score those now if aint done in a dominating fashion.

Spot on, Freddy's plan totally bombed, the excuse about "Oscar gassed and stopped using his jab" is a load of crap, if Oscar was so "dominant" he would have fought like hell to preserve those tactics, in the end it was simply Floyd's fantastic countering that stopped Oscar in his tracks, what people fail to notice is Floyd's not a quick starter, he takes his time and adjusts to his opponents movements, punch selections etc and then takes over, it was the same against Judah and also against Hatton, by the time the middle rounds come around Floyd is taking people to school, Freddy can come up with any plan he likes but i doubt he'll have a "plan" on how Pac stops himself from lunging in with his straight left, or being open to right hooks, upper cuts and a left jab (which would upset his rhythem), i see far more flaws for Floyd to exploit than i see for Manny.

Freddie said they will attack him and test Floyd's stamina. At this point, he may have a point and might be worth the risk.

So Pac might jump on him from round 1 and try to push him back into the ropes and go all out.

They'll probably ask Floyd to come down in weight too: we wouldn't want him to be healthy...now would we...

And, make sure he wears "Reyes" gloves an not "Winning" gloves. Better to see if Floyd throws less with Reyes for fear of breaking his hands. He used this trick when he had Oscar fight Floyd.

Be interesting to see if he can flip to a plan B when Floyd is tagging him at will

Do you think Freddie is smart enough to create a gameplan for Manny to beat Floyd?

If so, do you think Manny can execute?

It may also be a possibility that Freddie can devise a perfect plan but it's so difficult that Manny won't be able to do it (or maybe because Floyd can adjust as well).

                      Any thoughts?
He needs about 3 plans, because Floyd is one of the most highly adaptable fighters ever. This guy can fight slick, fast, brawl (Corrales), maul (Hatton), whatever you throw at Floyd, he can adjust to.

He also sticks to his gameplan and tweaks it during the fight and then explodes when the opening comes.

                      It's going to be tough.
