First of all, Diego Corrales was a great fighter. Anyone who doesn't agree with that is smoking rocks. However, the Diego Corrales who fought Mayweather in that fight was so dehydrated and weakened from trying to make weight didn't help himself one bit. If you watch ANY of his other fights at the weight, he wasn't nearly as fatigued in his fights or bone dry coming into the first round. Respected professionals have all stated on multiple occasions that he was severely drained from making weight, and that was his last fight at the weight. Did Mayweather beat him convincingly? Yes, but I liken this to Pacquiao destroying Oscar's skeletal ass. If you are going to praise Pacquiao in that performance you must discredit Mayweather's accomplishment for doing the same exact thing to Corrales. If not, you are being completely hypocritical, and I say "you" as in the general fan, not "you" as in you in particular Grustler.I didn't say he was the greatest boxer on his resume but your going
to discredit the same Diego Corrales from Corrales/Castillo 1, fought
a prime Casamayor to a split decision? Your saying that Diego Corrales
wasn't a great fighter in his prime? Are you crazy?!!! The guy was
knocking everybody out before Floyd and now you want to discredit
a man who is indeed considered a great fighter because Floyd beat him?
What about Castillo? He was in his prime as well and was durable and
tough as hell and Floyd beat him twice. Does anyone else here agree
with Get Sum, discrediting Diego Corrales?Comment

Come on Grus. Havent you realized Get Sum will NEVER give Floyd credit for anything. Like you mentioned everybody had FMJ rated P4P #1 for a reason.Honestly man, I think Floyd beat better fighters than Miguel Cotto
throughout his career. How could people discredit a Diego Corrales
win by saying it isn't impressive when Cotto fought Gomez and
Jennings? Margarito fought Golden Johson and lost to Paul Williams
and Mosley. What great fighter has Margarito beat? Please don't
say Cotto. I don't consider a fighter great when you ask him after
the Margarito fight "Why didn't you hold Margarito and tie him up"?
and get an answer "Because that's not real boxing". Come on Get
Sum, the only impressive win on Cotto's resume at 147 is Mosley
and he squeaked by it. Floyd moved up in divisions and dominated
fighters that were considered good and competitive, give me a break.
Why do you think he was considered P4P#1? How can you hand pick
all your fighters when the majority of them held titles in their division?
I'm not buying it from you guys that rag Flyod because the facts are
right there for me to be able to make my own judgement.Comment
