Wrong.
When Hatton was fighting Mayweather EVERYONE I knew was talking about the fighting. They were also rating Mayweather higher than Hatton too.
I also work at a school and all the school children (boys anyway) know who Mayweather is. That's probably more to do with him appearing in WWE againt The Big Show though.Comment

You just kind of sold yourself out there. DLH is Mexican, he has a Mexican fanbase, Hatton is a Brit, he has a British fanbase, Pac is Filipino, he has a Filipino fanbase, Mayweather is black, he has a black fanbase.
America as a whole couldn't give less of a **** about any boxer unless they are Mike Tyson or Oscar de la Hoya.Comment

It is not Floyd's fault though.
Team Mayweather has done everything possible to get his name out there and it's one of the reasons why he acts like such a **** because he knows it attracts attention. Floyd is from a different era. Had Floyd been from the same era Ray Leonard was from, that is if he is as good as people thing he is, he would be very popular. Boxing is not shown on regular TV like it was back in the days. Back then there was less to and less to see. Today we have to much to do and see, we have more of a variety now. But I agree, a lot of people have no clue who Floyd is unless they remember him from dancing with the stars or that new at&t commercial. Only people who pay at least a little bit of attention to the sport know him.Comment
