Anytime a Floyd fan posts its also about Floyd. Only time I see Floyd fans post is on Mayweather threads. If Floyd had wanted his proper due he should have taken Cottos 0. Now hes screwed because even if he fights and beats Manny then Manny was too small. There is no real career defining fight for him now. I think the Manny fight will be great but it wont matter.
Since the Pac fight this forum has reached all new incredible lows...

i too am a fan of both..but its hard cause im not gonna let people just **** on floyd 4 no damn reason..so i may type **** i really dont mean..but i have mad respect for pacman..hes a great fighter and is amazing to watchI'm a Floyd fan.
And a Pac fan.
According to the mental midgets on this forum, I shouldn't exist.
let's look at some fail logic from both sides:
Floyd fans : "pac has not reached mainstream popularity compared to Floyd"- uh, was anyone actually paying attention to the mainstream BUZZ this fight got. Forget the numbers, just check out how many people were talking about it. Hell on the streets, at parties everywhere I went, random people who NEVER watch boxing knew about it. Even today in the gym, a bunch of guys who never watch boxing were talking about Floyd vs. Pac now and the hatton fight. Why is that if Pac is not well known yet? hell, facebook was littered with random away messages over the weekend about the fight from casual sports fans and non boxing fans.
Pac fans- Gayweather is gay. Gayweather never fought anyone. Gayweather is a ducker. blah blah blah blah blah. I don't even need to break down this ******ity, I think for anyone who is objective, it should be obvious.
But hate away douchebags....Comment

Your an avid Whitaker fan, that's why I don't bother...Pernell isn't regarded as a legend in the sport. He's regarded as a great fighter. Anyone's resume can be picked apart.Comment

agree
with all the rambling, insanely idiotic Threads on this site i stop looking for anyone to even come close to anything that could be considered a rational thought anymore.Somehow Manny's success has created a new rift between Floyd haters and Floyd lovers.
HUH?
I'm sorry but did Floyd fight on Saturday? NO. Manny did. Can we talk about him for a moment?
A few thoughts:
.For Mayweather groupies:
-This fight is the most talked about since Hatton vs. Mayweather BUT it seems more mainstream. For some reason it was talked about during NBA games, on random radio stations, on ESPN and there was an on the street buzz I have not heard for a while. Tons of casual sports fans and WOMEN that I know saw it. You have to credit Manny for this in the US. He has surpassed Mayweathers popularity in terms of mainstream recognition right now or is at least very equal to it. DEAL WITH IT. Give pac his props
For the Mayweather haters:
-Why are you comparing who is more exciting? Is this SOMETHING NEW? Manny has always been more of an action fighter than Floyd. It's unfortunate that both sides are obsessed with him but are you guys really using triangle theories to predict a possible Floyd vs. Pac showdown? I hope not. How soon will a lot of you say Pac was too tiny if Floyd beats him? Don't answer this one, we all know the truth.
The irrationality on both sides is equal parts embarrassing, sad and amusing. Stop it.
Try to think about matchups not whoever you love or hate. Peace and hugs.
but i agree with you 100%Comment

So who gives a **** if he cares about the fans?
Did you ever think he doesn't care about his HATERS?
Frankly, I've followed his career BEFORE Gatti, or Castillo, and he made it clear back then why he is the way he is now. It's a promotional hype act to make cash. He was always trying to be a star and could never understand why he wasn't
He took the Gatti fight and the Oscar fight to become a star. Simple.
If you think he avoided Cotto that's awesome, but Cotto avoided him at 140 as well when he fought Gatti. Such is the way of things.Comment
