I had Pacquiao winning 114-113, some really close rounds though so I can see why people had Marquez winning it but it was far from a robbery. The knockdown won the fight for Pacquiao IMO.

My point exactly, that's why the "Popular" boxing analist view is recognized. 60/40 JMM. But that is just opinion.

Same here. I don't like PBF cuz of his trash talking but when it comes fight night, its the opposite.

I thought the knockdown sealed it for Pac, Pac lost some of the middle rounds but came back again so it wasnt a dominate shutout after the knockdown. Honestly if Buffer announced Marquez the winner I wouldnt of been shocked as well. Marquez fought his heart out but dont blame it on the fighters blame it on the judges. Some judges like the busier fighter some judges like the accurate puncher. For sure Pac KO's Marquez in the third to squash all this talk.

The Marquez Brothers think any fight that goes to the scorecards should be given to them. What Marquez always seems to forget is getting dumped on his ass in his biggest fights. If he wants to cry robbery, he at least has to stay on his feet and do more damage than his opponent because you can't cry robbery when every round is close.

Hes not wrong either though because some judges do judge fights by how much damage is being done with one punch. Although for the most part it should be who lands the most punches should win the round, but fighters like Joe Calzaghe can take advantage of this with his slapping shots that are counted as actual punches. He does throw a lot of hard shots when he wants to as well, but for the most part he will slap away with combos to land 1 or 2 shots he actually sits on. Either way he out works his opponents and lands more so he should get the round regardless if the other guy lands 4 big shots that rock him compared to 15 more slaps and a couple punches he sit downs on.

I was pretty much in line with the Filipino commentators if I recall, one of the best examples of unbiased commentating in recent memory. My score was something like 115-113 JMM, I no longer remember the exact breakdown. I thought it was tight but clear.

But then the headbut came. Then after that Pac turned up the tempo and started landing 1, 2 and a bit of combos while Marquez himself was throwing back but landing very little. And then in the end Pac land another straight Left to end the round. I thought it was pretty clear for Pac, but everyone sees different.
JMM vs Pac 3 better happen soon, because JMM ain't getting any younger.
I'm gonna watch round 7 on youtube right now, cause I haven't scored the fight in a while so I don't exactly remember which round was what. I'll let you know if I change my mind.
