After an 18 month lay-off? JMM is a tune-up, don't give me the bull**** that Mayweather is scared of him... you wouldn't expect anyone else to get in there with him after an 18 month lay-off but when its him its different.

I am pretty sure the reason he came back is to take the spot from Pacquiao, all this **** Roach is saying about him being scared is ******... whoever expects him to get in there with Manny after 18 months off is delusional.

because roach is smart. and they need pacquiao more than he needs them.
just like hatton had to come up to fight mayweather.
Neither fighter need each other... but the fans and Boxing need the fight to happen.

He fought Oscar at 147, because he had been fighting at 154 and above for the past 8 years. It was the middle point.

Mosley and Cotto both regularly fight at 147. So again, they would want them to at least meet them half way.
Cotto or Shane aint comin down to no 144lbs that **** aint gonna happen

you really think so? lol. all the floyd haters will say that pac man will destroy floyd leading up to the fight and if floyd wins, they'll just switch gears and say "floyd beat on a small man. he is scared to fight someone his own size". as a floyd fan you should be use to this. a hater will always find an angle to discredit him.

He made excuses to not fight Margarito, Cotto and Shane. All we heard from the stans back then was, "he'll fight them at some point".

He retires when it became clear either Tony or Cotto was going to be the highest ranking welter.

                    Returns to fight,

only to drag up a career SFW, to fight at a catchweight.

Surely the best fighter that ever lived would have a fight at the welterweight limit against an actual welter.

But that would mean stepping in the ring with a credible fighter at that weight.
When Larry Merchant pointed out that Mayweather has always had a sense of "per****acity" when choosing opponents, I know I wasn't the only one reaching for the dictionary to find out what the word meant.

According to Webster's per****acity means, "of acute mental vision or discernment."

In other words, Merchant was saying that Mayweather won't fight people he doesn't think he can beat...

Which is why people are wondering if the fight boxing fans around the world want to see more than any other might never actually happen.
