        I think I'd rather see Junior forge ahead, pick up the WBC and then try to cement a humble but respectable legacy of his own in the twilight of his career than KO Hatton's ghost.

        I'm not sure how much fire will be left in Ricky after realizing the pinnacle he was aiming for is out of reach. This fight, though big domestically, is a step down from the heights of Mayweather/Pacquiao in Vegas.


        The one thing I like about a Witter-Hatton fight at this stage is it would give Junior his career best payday. And he deserves one. So from that angle, I'd support it.


        Witter's got to beat Alexander first, when it's confirmed.
