The point is that Floyd, though a great defender, can and would be hit by Manny Pacquiao. He is very fast and throws from awkward angles that nobody could really prepare for as he always adds something to the toolbox. The question is whether or not Floyd could take his punches because it's proven that Pacquiao could hurt anyone within the 140-147 range.

        Incredible year for boxing though?
don't mean to blow my own trumpet but i predicted Pac would win both of those fights

though i wasn't confident enough to really put my nuts on the line and say 2nd round KO hehe

Floyd really is a different kettle of fish, but you have to be crazy to count Pacquiao out

Not really 147. He hit Oscar with 150000 punches and couldn't drop him once. At 140 maybe so...but you would hurt any1 if u landed THAT clean...

The other guy, black guy, also favored Pac...and also mentioned the layoff and that Pac is in his prime and we just don't know where Floyd is at in his career. We can't expect him to be the same now.

            Something like that...
this is a suprise, 9/10 black people say Mayweather will KNOCK out Pacquiao that i talked to. They talked so much ****, saying this and that.

No the question is considering Manny struggled twice with a counter puncher named JMM....who timed those awkward angle punches and rocked Manny often.

How does Manny beat Floyd...when EVERYTHING jmm does...Floyd does better..and hes bigger...taller..hits harder....better defense....beter counter puncher....stronger and faster...just to throw in there as well.

              How?

                Dumb ass post.

He coulnt destroy JMM easy....in TWO fights.

Now imagine JMM standing at 5-8....with a 72 inch reach...cat quick reflexes...a sick defense..power and speed at 140 pounds...and the boxing brain of elite trainers.

Your a ****ing idiot for thinkg he can beat Mayweather...easy.

Did Hatton display an ounce of defense or boxing ability when facing floyd?? No.....but that went 10 rds.

What fighter has ever even come close to givng Marquez as many problems as Pacquiao??

Not even mayweather will destroy Marquez...even at a weightclass and a half higher than he's ever fought before.

Nah, I wasnt tryin to bash just pointing out that prefight it was hard or downright impossible to picture Pac beating DLH into submission and also Pac dominating the live dog in Hatton. I was confident in Pac beating Hatton but not in that fashion, that was just something I could only imagine.

With that said, yes it would hard to see Pac dominating the skilled Mayweather but as far as right now well have to wait and see.

If its the same Floyd we used to have... nope, he will find Mayweather a lot harder to hit... he wont annihilate Mayweather and make it look easy. We will have to see how the lay-off has effected him, then judge.

Marquez didnt counterpunch his way to success against Pacquiao like most believe. Marquez tried counterpunching for 3 mins of the first fight and got laid out on his 3 times for his troubles. What Marquez did was beat Pacquiao to the punch. Hence why you hear Roach constantly telling Pacquiao to be 1st in between rounds. Something that Mayweather doesnt particulary specialize in.

Mark my words...if Mayweather tries to counterpunch against Pacquiao he's going to get knocked the **** out.
