Supposedly there was some kind of argument in the dressing rooms prior to the fight. This is why he didn't come in the ring with him. There was no chemistry on fight night. They couldn't see eye to eye and whatever was said prefight affected Ricky in the ring because he didn't listen to a thing Floyd said to do inbetween rounds. The biggestthing for a fightereven more then believing in himself is believing in his trainer. The trained builds the boxer up builds his confidence builds his charector builds his style and technic. 8 weeks of working with Floyd wasn't enough and he probably foundout he didn't like Floyd very much,.....Lefty

Rick came in being Ricky, and got KTFO. Sr. is a overrated trainer that makes watery kool aid on 24/7 with no sugar.

What was the fight plan? I cant believe that it was to go to the body, it seemed like he tried but I dont think a world class trainer would push for that against a well prepared fighter like Manny, unless Floys sr is truly as uninformend as he seems, he probably had too much pride to use the JMM or Morales aproach (not that ricky has those qualities)
also, Is 8 weeks enough time to prepare a fighter?
