I can't recall a fighter at elite level getting laid out for as long in recent memory.

In fact, what brought this subject to mind is a pm I got from Reed:

Someone brought something else to my mind on a different board the other day. Its not quite what this thread is probably looking for but the guy said that he hadnt seen a blowout like that in an elite fight where both guys were supposedly in there prime since Tyson-Spinks. I couldnt really think of another one where a guy just got dominated in 1 or 2 rounds. Even if someone got KO by a lucky punch or a great punch, thats different. Hatton was dominated in those 2 rounds, knock downs aside. You rarely ever see that happened in this type of situation

Hatton shouldn't be fighting at the elite level. Rock N Roll wrestling for Ricky now.

              Tyson-Spinks imo

It was considered the real unification of the HW. Tyson was the favorite i think, but no way did Spinks, the same guy who ended Holmes' Undefeated record expect to be KO'd in the 1st, even againt a Prime Tyson.

IMO, x100 more of a surprise than Pac-Hatton

I actually expected a relatively competitive fight. I thought Hatton fought down to the stereotype of him being a bull in a chinashop that night. I'm not saying he would have won, but he's capable of better. He seemed to have no idea what to do that night.

Look at the first round of the Floyd fight, where he's holding back, using feints and the jab. I didn't see a single jab that I can recall on Saturday, just a pasty Manc rushing in like a wildman.
