Wasn't Froch talking smack about Calzaghe fighting a 43 year old man and now he wants to fight that 44 year old man. LOL. Well when he gets absolutely schooled by Hopkins maybe he'll leave Calzaghe alone.

The maybe Hopkins. Although I would rather see him fight Kessler, and Bute before any Hopkins match-up.
Maybe he should just wait until Hopkins is 60 while he's at it.

Damn I got tons of respect for Froch, he wants a huge career and he'll do whatever it takes to get there. I see this as cashing out early though. If he fights Hopkins, he loses the chance to beat some very young contenders in big fights, and possibly hold onto a strap for a while. Hopkins will dominate Froch, who simply isn't technically sound enough to bother Hopkins. If you're going to be as flawed as Froch, then you certainly need some speed. Having a great chin, serious heart, and great power just isn't enough to win rounds on a great defensive fighter like BHop. He's too good at controlling the pace, and Froch does not have the ability to apply the type of pressure Calzaghe did in their fight.

Stylistically bhop is all wrong for froch, he will nullify everthing Carl does well and pot shot him to a decision or possibly late stoppage, Froch is just way to open.

I want Bhop to whoop Dawson, but if he ain't interested in Chad, this is cool.

Agreed. Froch is tough, but Hopkins has a tendency to take those with limited defense/overall boxing ability to school, and I'm not just talking about Pavlik. You can reference Tito Trinidad on this as well(he was all left hook, and we all saw how Hopkins dealt with him). Hopkins may be old, but obviously this is not the fight for Froch. Fight Kessler instead, Froch. You would prove your worth infinitely more by defeating him over Hopkins.
