Could Pacman Win Record 7th and 8th Division titles/belts?

Depending on how you look at it, with his belt grab at 140 in his win over Hatton, Pacquiao has arguably amassed his 6th world title.

Now generally for such a small fighter moving up a further weight class would be deemed an impossible feat and so normally the 7th title would be out of reach. However in this exceptional circumstance, Pacman has already beaten Oscar DLH at 147. Though it wasn't for a belt or title, it still at least convincingly showed that Pacman DOES have what it takes to AT LEAST be competitive at 147. Oscar being a weight drained zombie aside, seeing Pacman dismantle DLH proved as I said that he would at least stand SOME chance against some of the other top guys at 147.
Then, an historic and record breaking 8th division would be just within reach at the 154 junior middleweight mark. Considering that to my knowledge it's not the strongest division at the moment to begin with, maybe Pac has a chance to eventually move up there and beat a weaker belt holder.

Obviously the possible fight at the table now is against Cotto for the WBO title at 147 should Cotto retain the title in his defense against Clottey in June. This win would arguably give Pac his 7th division.

Perhaps if sometime next year Floyd grows into junior middleweight (154) and wins the title there, a truly historic match for not only P4P supremacy but an 8th division for Pac would be set up with Pacman moving up to 154lbs to face Floyd. But that's going out on a limb.

    What do ya'll think?

He could probably beat Berto and if he goes to 154 beat Forrest, it is possible.

No way. The buck stops at 140. Any of the WW titlists KO Pac imo. The DLH win didn't sway me. And 154 is just ridiculous to think of him tryin.

I think it was after the 2nd marquez fight where Arum said he'd let Manny fight except for Cotto coz thats too much for him. Now I dont know if Arum even wants to pair Miguel right now lol

At 147, WBC-Berto, WBA-Mosley, and WBO-Cotto. I believed before the Hatton fight that they want a tune up fight after Ricky. Since it was a a quick win for Pac, they might go for Cotto due to Arum talking about it. But if they plan a tune up fight, why not go for the vacant IBF title. Arum can influence the IBF to have Pac and an IBF rank 147 fighter face for the title. Out of the rank fighters in the IBF, 2 are rated by the Ring mag, Collazo and Hlatswayo. Collazo is not a tune up fighter. So, the choice(or my choice) would be Hlatswayo, 28-1-1 record with 10 KOs. This will be a good tune up fight for Pac.

At 154, Arum said earlier this year that JCC JR. might be a future opponent of Pac and might get a title shot this year. The WBC, WBA, and WBO are held by Forrest, Santos, and Dzinziruk. The IBF title again is vacant. Arum can influence the IBF to have JCC JR. to fight for the vacant title. If he wins, a Pac-Chavez Jr. fight.

The problem at 154 division is the weight of Pac. Pac can come in at 148 pounds but that is also his fight night weight in his last 2 fights. If he goes over 150, how it will affect him at fight night?

154 is impossible since his maximum weight on fight night is only 148... 147 is possible..
