I mean that is the popular thing to say. But I like looking at facts, and facts are cotto hasnt showed overwhelming power in any of his fights(outside of b level to bum fighters).

Pac has brought it to great chin boxers with devasting results.

the list goes on and on. While cotto power is only on display against the jennings, and gomez of boxing. I like cotto and got him over everyone expect pac and pwill. I just wanna dispelled the myth of him having the power advantage over pac which obvioulsy isnt true.

DLH and Morales shouldn't be on that list, they were both washed by the time they fought in wars for years. While he hurt Marquez both hurt each other. Diaz come on, Diaz lost to a shot Morales but got the nod. Hatton has been hit or miss for ever, but we haven't seen a good Hatton since Tszyu really.

Pac is a special fighter but Cotto hits hard. Pac IMO has a real shot at Cotto but if Cotto lands anything Pac hits the mat. Pac has got hurt by much smaller punchers then Cotto.

Pac wins with a lot of little punches that accumulates but he does have pop. A good example is how he threw 127 punches in 2 rounds. He overwhelms opponents with speed and some power but he isn't a one punch knock out artist by any means. Tszyu was a one punch power master. Cotto has enough power to stop him.

I think that Pac has a lot on his plate at 147, he should stick with 140 for a bit. Beating a shot DLH was not impressive.

Pacs power is probably comparable. As usual its underrated by many. But to say cotto, who knocks out people with body shots has no real power is absurd. He is quite a lot of power actually.

manny has devastating punches even above 130, it shows diaz and oscar have great chins, but its not straight brutal power manny is hurting people with, its a bit of that, mixed in with blinding speed and the angles at which he throws his shots, i mean make no mistake he has great power but thats not the only reason his pucnhes are so devastating

I really dont know for certain. Pacquiao power comes mostly from his speed, but Cotto chops fighters down like a tree. You also have to realize that Cotto has been fighting bigger fighters. while mannys record comes mostly from the lighter divisions. Still manny has a good punch, but i'm not sure he will be knocking out real welter weights, while I believe Cotto can.

Pacquiao is impressive but i'll say this, I still have to see him take/absorb punishment from any quality welterweight to even say that he can hang or dominate in that block. Margarito might have ate up Cotto's head shots but he didn't receive any good body shots which no one can argue, Cotto is known for. So the question is can Pacquiao take punishment at that level from any other quality welterweight? That he has yet to prove. We'll see....
