Yeh but Pac hit Oscar everywhere even on the ear and Floyd never once hit Oscar on the ear so that automatically means he beats Floyd

But you look like absolute idiots when you post about who beat whom better, worst, faster or slower. Boxing doesn’t work like that. Triangulation theories don’t work. Common opponent theories don’t work.

Ali had life and death struggles with Frazier and Norton. Foreman dominated, annihilated and nearly killed Frazier and Norton. What does that tell you about Ali and Foreman?

Jermain Taylor beat Hopkins twice. Taylor was then KO’d by Pavlik, and lost a decision to Pavlik. What does that tell you about Hopkins and Pavlik?

Vernon Forrest dominated Shane Mosley. Ricardo Mayorga knocked out Vernon Forrest. Shane Mosley knocked out Ricardo Mayorga.

Pacquiao tore through Barrera. Then Morales beat Pacquiao. Ever seen the Barrera/Morales fights?

Castillo gave Floyd trouble. Floyd Blew Corrales away. So Chico had no chance against Castillo...right?

Me too mang. Styles make fights. Only thing I have a problem with in the opening post is that TS has Floyd ranked between 2 and 4 p4p when he hasn't fired a punch in anger for 2 years.

That's the only one I take exception to. Pacquiao annihilated Morales twice and only lost one decision to him, and that loss was before he had really come full circle as a fighter.
Pacquiao>>>>>>>>>>>>>all in his generation (we'll see about Mayweather)
The version of Morales that Pac beat (2nd & 3rd) was actually WAAAAY off from a prime Erik. The best version of Erik that Pac faced was the first one. And EM beat Manny pretty soundly in that fight.

No the question is considering Manny struggled twice with a counter puncher named JMM....who timed those awkward angle punches and rocked Manny often.

How does Manny beat Floyd...when EVERYTHING jmm does...Floyd does better..and hes bigger...taller..hits harder....better defense....beter counter puncher....stronger and faster...just to throw in there as well.

            How?

Comparing victories is fine in speculating how the head to head matchup will turn out, but at the end of the day its the styles that make the fight.

I wasn't THAT crazy with my ranking. I notice the BS writers also put Floyd at #4 the next day.

I disagree... comparing victories is pretty close to useless in head to head speculation.

I do think the people that are saying that Pacquiao has moved in front of Mayweather in resume/legacy status are fine saying that... that is where comparing head to head victories makes sense.
