cotto is too big for pac and this is a mismatch.

that said, cotto stamina is not good and surely roach will exploit that because pac never gets tired and cotto could get KTFO.

but like I said, cotto is too big.

I think the first two rounds they would feel eachother out and both try to set there own pace.

But from the third round on I for some reason see wild exchanges and trading at the center of the ring. Possible knock downs on both ends.

But if Pacquiao can't KO Cotto early, as I've said 100 times already, its curtains for him.
there's basically four guys I see out there that are actually potential opponents of Manny that could beat him; Mayweather, Marquez, Mosley and Cotto.

Cotto will have to fight his best and he better hope he has a real trainer by then to provide some strategy. Like Marquez Cotto can counterpunch and move in and out well. If he can dictate some of the fight with his jab he will take some of pacs courage away and with a good body attack could slow pac way down. Cotto's accuracy and power would then take its toll. I'll pick Cotto but I think he's the legitimate underdog in this one.

cotto beats both mayweather and pacquiao, they are not real welterweights.

I wonder what arum was thinking at this moment.

Arum wants to make Cotto the top dog.

So he will feed him Pacquiao.

            Let him take out Mayweather.

            And be king as expected.

I dont think size matters in this fight after seeing the way pac dominated hatton so easily hatton weighed 152 and hes also taller than pac......that being said i got cotto winning this fight but i dont believe i would be as easy as some of u guys think....

Pac's movement, angles, head movement, perpetual in-and-out motion will totally screw Cotto's timing. He would not be used to chasing someone so quick and unpredictable. I'm telling you guys, Cotto will have a hard time just trying to get in range much less land a clean shot. Granted, if he does I'm sure Pac will definitely feel it. But if Cotto doesn't catch Pac early (which I think is the likely scenario) he will eventually gas out even earlier than he usually does. See, thats another thing...u need great stamina because we all know Pac is built for 15 rounds. Cotto, on the other hand, has been known to gas out against lesser conditioned fighters.

On Pac's end, he is fighting a much bigger fighter and hence a slower, less quicker fighter than to what he has been accustomed to his whole career. Pac's gotten bigger arite...but he still fights in the same speed, burst, and quickness when he was a feather. Thats what makes him so remarkable. Same speed and quickness, but stronger, more powerful, and bigger. That's his inherent advantage over the welters every time out. IMO his domination of his last 3 fights have been largely due to this higher relative speed/quickness/stamina advantage...as well as his technical and strategic improvements.

There is the danger of Pac being caught clean where he could be one-shot ko'ed at Welter where before he wouldve survived in the lower weights...but that would be the proverbial punchers chance. Aside from that, Pac has all the advantages here imo, and he would either chop Cotto down gradually for a late stoppage or a wide UD, or if Cotto gasses out significantly and gets careless, dont be surprised for yet another highlightreel ko.

If I had to bet my money and the fight were made tomorrow at WW, I would go with Cotto.
That said, lets let Cotto handle his business with Clottey next month, and go from there. Big things are on the horizon, but we dont know exactly which way the dominos are going to fall yet.

I would build a shrine to Manny Pacquiao in my house if he beats or KOs Cotto.
