I have a feeing Pac can beat Mayweather. I hope that fight is made instead of the Cotto fight. Pacquiao has the workrate and timing and sharpness to beat Mayweather.
How many other Pac fans agree with me, NO to Floyd Jr.

If you don't fight Floyd, it means you are scared. Pac wants Floyd. Roach said this himself when the Hatton fight was offered. Pac wanted Floyd not Hatton because Floyd knocked out Hatton already.
If this fight doesn't get done, it will be because Roach and Arum don't want it to get done...although, we could put blame on Manny for not stepping up and demanding the fight by over-ruling Arum and Roach's decision.
Maybe right now they still see it as a bad style matchup or they are waiting to see how Floyd looks before putting Manny in there with him...as well as percentage of the purse. I could see Floyd settling on a 50/50 split.
I think Manny should take the fight. Look at where Floyd is at right now in his career. He is 32, will be very close to 33 by the time the fight is made; has already been off for a 1 1/2 years or so by his next fight and already retired twice which shows you where he possibly is both mentally and physically.
Floyd was still fast at 147, but he wasn't as fast as he used to be. That's an advantage for Manny. Plus, he waits for rounds to pass by to pick up the pace...something he started to do as he aged. Manny can take advantage of that too.
This would be a Big fight and a good win on his resume. Manny should take the fight. It's too good to pass.
I was really impressed with Manny last night.Last edited by Benny Leonard; 05-03-2009, 02:04 PM.Comment

Screw Floyd, Manny is the attraction now- should have stayed active instead of retiring like he did. 60/40 split for Pacman and Manny owns him the whole fight. You guys really think after watching that fight last night that with Manny throwing 150 powershots per rd that Floyd will be able to keep him off for 12 rds?
Pacman is the answer to the "Money" issue. He retires Money for good and all the floyd fans will be facing the truth....like father like son!!Comment

The Pacman is the most famous fighter now and more so beloved than PBF. Mayweather is very jealous of this plus he's supposedly broke and needs more money. That's the reason why he wants to unretired. JAT

"If you don't fight Floyd it means you're scared."
Isn't that the most hypocritical statement of the century?Comment

I know its a natural fight, but I say Pac just don't give the ****er a chance. First, the guy is a total prick. He's been retired enjoying life (after he avoided the top competition) until he ran into money problems. Now he suddenly wants to come back because he sees his legacy fading compared to Pac's. Now, you know this prick is going to demand more than 50% which is just ridiculous. I say Pac fight Cotto or Mosley or both and just retire himself. Don't fight Floyd unless he agrees to less than 50%.Comment
