PSA: That was the best Hatton, ever. And you're a fool if you deny it.

Because Floyd Mayweather is much more methodical than Manny Pacquiao/. Manny is a beast that goes for the kill when he sees the smallest opening. Floyd will only go for it if the risk isn't too high. Its not to discredit Mayweather that I say this- I'm just stating the facts. He is a different knd of fighter than Pac, altogether.
That said Hatton was Hatton no better no worse just fought a better fighter with a dig and a mean streakLast edited by The Surgeon; 05-04-2009, 05:43 AM.Comment

I admit that Hatton looked the same as he always has- no better, no worse. It was just made brutally clear that he doesn't belong with the elite as his natural abilities are just too flawed. He had an awful first round, but landed a couple good shots in the second, but when you throw shots the way Hatton does, it's only a matter of time before someone as talented and lethal as Manny comes along and makes easy work of you.
I take absolutely nothing away from Manny - what he did last night still amazes me when I think about it. The best, unbeaten fighter at 140, made to look like an amateur and disposed of in 2 rounds.. that's just scary..
Good to hear from you what I've known a long time ago....Comment

Pacquaio is kicking down the doors to the hall of fame. I reckon Pacquaio v Mayweather promises to be a dream match stylistically- we have a genuine Superfight! I love how both of them fight.
I predicted Pacquaio before 8. I admire Ricky's heart and ambition, he dared to be great, just came up short. I was worried about him when he was out on the canvas, and I found it to be in pretty bad taste when they focussed the camera on his glazed face for ages when he was clearly unconcious.
Pacquaio though, is a monster and looking more and more like a genuine legend of the sport.Comment

Don`t forget that Hatton got rocked by light punching fighters like Lazcano and mallinaggi after the mayweather fight so that shpould tell you somehing.A lot of posters even mention the fact that his punch resistance went down.
Now lets see how Pac does against top Prime fighters especially black ones lol.
****ing unbelievable... you sir just made my day.

Woeful thread.
Translation :
People may try and take away from Manny's win, so I'll just go way off into the other extreme.
Glad I stayed off this board in the first 24 hours or so after the fight. Jesus.Comment

To a degree, yeah. And he had some wear and tear even before he fought Floyd. But when you drop your right and step on to the kind of sledgehammer shot Pac KO'd him with on Saturday night, it doesn't really matter.Comment
