Do you think that Hatton boxing like he didn't know wtf he was doing

could have been down (to some kind of extent, dont even think I'm trying to say this has anything significant to do with his loss, so please save the "lol get over it" posts) to his extra poor relations with MW.Sr?

Maybe he just thought, "this guy isn't out to help me, **** him, I'll do it my way" or some ****?

I mean you train for 12 weeks with a set plan in order to defeat a very very game opponent and then you throw it all away on fight night?

    Either:

    1. The talk of changing style was just that, talk, and they never really tried e.g. a tactic to stop team PacMan from studying videos (what a failure that was lol).

    2. He wasn't mentally prepared for the fight/was nervous/something to do with his brain, I dont know. He did look a bit restless before his ring entrance.

    3. Like I said before, he was just trying to say "**** YOU", to Mayweather Sr, by doing his own thing.

    4. After over ten years of that style, his body just instinctually reverts to the style it knows best/is more confident with.

    5. He really is THAT ****ing ****** to consciously adopt the very same full of holes style AND be brutally KO'd by the VERY SAME left hook that finished him in his previous blockbuster fight against Mayweather.

    I'm really hoping it's not number 5 (I suppose 3 and 5 kinda go together) but...............................seriously

      1. I think it was a bad gameplan.

      2. I think he was 'caught in between iden******' as Teddy Atlas would put it, he seemed to not know whether to be the boxer that Mayweather Sr. wants him to be or to be the fighter he once was.

      3. Pacquiao was just too damned good.

He is indeed, but Hatton is at least worthy of a "good" rating.

Agree, especially with point number 2. I suppose he just had too much faith in his own style, but ffs man use your damn brain! There's nothing wrong with being a pressure fighter/brawler and taking some as you come in for the kill, but for the LOVE OF GOD, take a page out of Cottos book and AT LEAST PUT YOUR DAMN HANDS UP WHEN YOU'RE COMING IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's so frustratingly ******.

Either Hatton learned nothing, which is what a lot of us saw in that 20 second clip of Hatton sparring on 24-7 or Hatton did not even listen to Mayweather Sr. but you can hear Mayweather Sr yelling at Hatton in the corner after the first round in the corner. His last words were you should have been listening to me from day one? It sounds as though that is what he says I know he tells Hatton to keep his hands up and move his head. Hatton did not learn shiet. Hatton really must have believed that he was in there with a smaller man and he was just going to man handle his way to victory. Did he not see how fast Manny was against De La *****? :lmfao:

I really does boggle my mind wondering what was going on in his head.

Even a simple change like just keeping your hands up as you move in to your comfort zone (right in Mannys face) would've made a difference in him not getting tagged almost literally EVERY single time he moved in.

When I was watching the fight I was excited over the KO even though I was rooting for Hatton, but the more I think about it, the more it just doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

I SEE! THOSE LARGE LETTERS DO INDEED PROVIDE A SOLID BACKING FOR YOUR POST.

Seriously though, Hatton was ALWAYS going to fight. Yes he said he was going to switch up the fight a bit, but he was ALWAYS going to go in there and fight. Especially with the "Hattons the bigger guy" thing being said by just about everyone who knew about the fight.

Cotto boxes well, but he still fights at the same time.

                  Besides.

Hatton jumped right into Mannys face from the first bell which did phase Manny a bit, so it doesn't really make sense to say that Manny MADE Hatton fight.

this is what i think happened....floyd, sr. was bull****ting the whole time, about that ricky being more techinical....if you watch ricky actually was doing well in the clinches, and pac looked off balance and uncomfortable.....the plan was to bully the hell out of manny....when ricky jsut stood straight up, is when he got rocked by pac's power.....ricky's undoing was manny's power imo.....i actually think ricky's gameplan was not a bad idea.
