Do you think Hatton should retire?

He was the linear champion and had the at Ring title at 140 for four years (strangely enough, during that time he received no respect whatsoever from some of the Ring writers, such as Rosenthal and Raskin). And of course, he had the IBO light welterweight title as well. But those are gone now...

He obviously didn't look impressive tonight. Not to take anything away from Pacquiao's win, but Ricky looked rather gaunt and unhealthy, kind of like a sickly old man.

Do you think he should retire or fight on, maybe against Timothy Bradley next fight?

I would like to see him retire, or take a fight aganist khan, that would be a huge fight in britain, plus with roach training khan it would make things interesting.

Time for Ricky to retire, he has had a good career but is not good enough at the highest level therefore he has done enough.

A very good fighter and a great guy, for a time tonight I thought he was hurt badly therefore I personally would prefer him to get out now with his health intact.

Pacman by the way was and is awesome, cong**** to him.

If his brain scan doesn't show anything wrong I don't think he should retire. As long as he stays away from fast fighters he should do fine for maybe five more years.

I don't think Ricky is finished at all. He just ran into a GREAT fighter, and he is only a good fighter. He should fight one of the 140lb belt holders, and then retire with a win.

I knew he was going to get knocked out, I think I have some of the most brilliant comments, I knew Ricky's chin wasn't that sturdy, Pacquiao hits harder than Mayweather and Mayweather was rocking his head back, and put him on ***** street. I knew Pacquiao was goin to the same and faster. People are surprised but I'm not one bit,Roach had a great game plan, and Pacquiao was too fast, Pacquiao mad a lot of mistakes but he is still very accurate and an underestimated counterpuncher. Saw it coming. I've been saying this.

It's funny, people wouldn't normally say that a fighter should retire after only two losses out of around 40 fights.

Same with me, however, it's clear that Hatton is either just doing something seriously wrong, or he just doesn't have it when it comes to top competition.

It's kind of a weird situation IMO.

If anyone else retired after only two defeats in 40 fights, everyone would be thinking "wtf?", but I think it's the manner in which he has lost which is causing people to think he should give it up, not because of how well he can fight, but because of his long term health.

His defense is just way too poor to just be taking world class shots over any extended period of time without something ****ing him up further down the line.

Now, if he were able to correct his defense, and try to change up the way he fights, then he may have better chances, but as we saw, he's pretty much incapable of carrying out a gameplan different what he's been doing for the last decade or so.

Here's another thing to think about though.

If Hatton does retire, Pacquiao would have beaten two fighters into retirement one after the other in the same year lol! Imagine if he somehow dismantles Floyd later on in the year and he possibly hangs them up?

He would probably die the happiest man alive. Wait, does that make sense?

                    No doubt.

He was a dominant force at 140 before. He moved up, got mentally destroyed by Mayweather....moved back down and beat up a smoke and mirrors opponent and even I was guilty of thinking he still had the goods at 140.

He could have died I say yes.
