That would be wonderful to see, but I think JMM is simply too small to have a chance.
He even seemed small for lightweight - he only moved up to 135 to pursue a third fight with Pacquiao, so at 143 he'll well above his preferred fighting weight.
If Mayweather would have gone down to 135 or 130, it would be a fair fight.Comment

The fight being at 143 still isn't fair imo.
Marquez is a small lightweight which is clear if you watch his fight against Juan Diaz who is a big lightweight. Marquez simply doesn't belong above 135 imo.
Techincally the fight is still at welterweight because it is being made over the limit at junior welterweight.Comment
