who did Floyd beat in 08/09 to justify P4P status?

floyd is basically p4p champion emeritus. he's UNDERSTOOD by everyone to be the true p4p #1 but technically he cannot get that OFFICIAL designation until he fights.

So even if Pacman loses tonight Mayweather will not be on the p4p rankings until he fights and his performance can be more accurately assessed.

The kicker though is that since JMM becomes the de facto p4p #1 if Pacman loses tonight, that means Floyd will instantly regain p4p #1 status in July when he beats JMM.

On paper, it's Pacquiao, but deep down their hearts, every sports fan knows that Floyd Mayweather Jr is the P4P King. Pacquiao is just being humble and generous by holding the spot for PBF for now.
