I know it's a business, don't confuse me with others.

And why is this even about Floyd/JMM. This is about Cotto. The Jennings fight made sense at the time.

Floyd/JMM can make sense, as long as it's not at 145.
    Don't worry, it'll be at 144.

JMM/Floyd can make sense at any weight cause it's a tuneup/comeback fight.

A title fell into Cotto's lap. It would have been ****** for him to pass on that. Floyd fans should be able to agree with that as long as they're not blind haters.

JMM/Floyd is ok by me, but I just don't think Floyd should be making JMM come up too far from 140. That's perfectly reasonable.

      Floyd KO's him either way.
JMM would beat Jennings at 147. Easily.

I concur, but what does that have to do with anything?

I'm not trying to say Jennings is a better opponent than Marquez.

I guess nobody of Cotto's and Mayweather's status gets a pass for fighting guys like that but when Cotto fought Gomez he was coming off fighting Paulie, Quintana, Urka, Judah, and Mosley, he literarly went from contender to legit champion, so i give him a pass for fighting someone easy, especially when the margo fight was on the horizon, why **** that up....Jennings was just a confidence booster so that doesnt bother me either.

The JMM/Mayweather fight makes no sense, at all. The weight it is held at won't matter. Therefore, any weight makes sense. Don't change things around please.

Makes perfect sense. Tune up after an 18 month break that still adds a legitimate name to your resume, especially with a KO.

I mean seriously, Floyd adds JMM to his resume as a TUNE UP. That's mind boggling.

Mayweather is a Welterweight!..according to him the GREATEST OF THEM ALL!.

JMM has fought at 135 TWICE..what's great about picking a guy 12lbs less and making him go up to 144?!..

He coulda fought Calderon..made him go to 144 he's P4P 5 or 6 AND Undefeated..a KO over the "Speed Demon" like Calderon is even MORE mind boggling!!!..

JMM wanted the fight bro. It's not like Floyd has JMM's soul in his hands. Floyd's fought at 147 four times, what's your point? He fought at 140 three times. So what? He fought at 135 four times, so what?

You don't have a point. But keep hating, it's fun continuing to own your ass.

Its not really the same. Mayweather fought a tune after another. Cotto fought Alfonso Gomez after a tough fight with Shane Mosley to then face Margarito who was avoided by everyone. After Margarito loeaded his hands to beat Cotto it was like if cotto had come from a car wrecked accident.
He needed a tune up, it was a must. Alfonsi Gomez was atleast a better fighter than Gatti which had been shot to death. A.Gomez even knocked out Gatti demostrating he was far superior to the guy Mayweather had fought.

You cants compare that to fighting Henry Bruseles(nobody
) then Arturo Gatti(shot) then S.Mitchell(shot) then Judah(came froma lost to Baldomir and only took off 3 months to fight Floyd) then Baldomir(Fairy tale champ who had 8 loses). Mayweather been on a vacation most of his career while other fighters are fighting wars. Mayweather just waiting to fight a small Pacquiao whos been through wars while he's been on vacation.
