    Hatton's defense

Hatton's defense is really bad and Pacquaio is just going to have a field day with that straight left. He won't be able to handle the combos, angles and speed that Manny offers. Ricky comes in without a care in the world, purely offensive, and i think that will be his downfall against Pacquiao. I think he is underestimating Pac's power and thinks he can just walk through him because he hasn't fought at 140 before.

I don't hate Hatton, but i don't like his style. I'd love for him to prove me wrong and make a good fight out of this, as a boxing fan i'd rather see that than 1 fighter destroying another fighter. However, all i see from the first bell to the last (if it gets that far) is Pac coming in and hitting him with the left over and over again. His superior speed allows him to do this.

Hatton's best defensive plan is to smother Pacquiao and make sure he can't get much leverage on his punches

he just has to do what he does best to win. Spend as much time on the inside as possible, holding and hitting, making it a bit messy and ugly

Hatton don't have much defense at all. He does his best work in close, where a lotta cats can't get off effectively against him. But he don't move his head much, and he always rushes in. That's deadly against Pac.

Yeah i know that's his plan, but do you really think he can keep Pac like that for the whole 12 rounds? Keep in mind how fast Pac is.

hatton needs to move his head more,
he never did that before and id say will against manny but only for max 4-5 rounds then he will slip into old ricky

It's amazing how he got to 45-1 and only KD twice in 46 fights with no defence...

The only time hatton gets hit easy is by slick southpaws or P4P #1 genuis's.

Since Pac is both I'm picking him to win, but pac is easy to hit aswell and there are ?? over his ability to take Hatton's shots, genuine ??.

It's a dangerous game he plays, we saw what happened against Mayweather. I don't believe he has changed much since his new trainer based on the last 2 fights we've seen. I also think he hasn't looked the same since he got knocked out in the chin department.

actually I think floyd has improved hatton's defense and if hatton jabs on the way in it will give pac problems.

that said pac is too fast and the southpaw angles will be tough for hatton... hatton's only chance is to maul pac.

                    hatton wins by DDT.
