Love Bernard... but there are very few people he can fight without being a coward.

Beating Dawson would be for nothing more than street cred at this point. This is faux rage, and just something for X haters on the board to drum on him about. Hopkins already mopped the floor with Chad's two biggest opponents, he has nothing Bernard wants, it's just a tough fight. At least Froch, like Pavlik can help Hop with those Taylor "losses" when his career is reflected over, history will paint the picture that Hopkins was just too old for 160 when Jermain fought him with wins over Carl and Kelly and his mini spectacle at LHW.

I'd personally like to see Hopkins try to get a belt at heavyweight, above all else. I don't get why he needs Dawson for a damn thing, he already has that big win over the undisputed MW champ for real legacy standings.

If he were to suddenly fight Froch he would look like such a coward. Seriously. Carl Froch wouldn't stand a snowball's chance in hell versus Hopkins. It would be the Pavlik fight all over again. Hopkins knows this. Cherry picking a belt in another weight class and ducking Dawson is just a sad move.
i have to agree, hopkins can't go gunning for dudes like froch and pwill when there is a perfectly good fight for him at 175 in chad dawson.

but i wouldn't go so far as to call hops a coward.

Coward and Hopkins don't work together at all

Anyway as far as I'm concerned Hop is still aiming for top level opponents and beating them. Hop can play now. I figure Hop will be there for anybody coming up he feels has flaws he can expose.

If anything Chad should be asking for Hop. Maybe Hop is avoiding the most high risk until the pay matches the risk. I think that is smart because if Chad is the truth and B-Hop stays in the game this match will happen but Chad has to promote it.
