Post Margarito fight, I think it's getting more difficult to argue in favour of De La Hoya

Well, he didn't belong at 154 but I respect the fact that he tried to see how he'll do there. He got a gift against DLH 2nd fight, other then that, he has had a really good career

the guy is great. and would of accomplished much better things if he didnt skip passed 140. But the money offered was too much to deny which is why he fought guys way bigger than him in winky and vernon..

I wonder how much steroids had to do with alot of his fights....

At 37 years old he is in extremely good shape....

He's only lost to A-level fighters, he was alot more competitive in the rematches aswell. The Cotto loss was razor close and could easily be scored a draw IMO. I think he lost a close decision against Oscar in the rematch but he already beat him clearly the first time so it doesn't matter too much.

            He's got wins over...

            Margarito
            Collazo
            De La Hoya
            Mayorga
            Vargas
            Diaz
            Rivera
            Jesse James Leija
            Molina
            Holiday

            Not bad at all.

Not to me. He's one of my favorite fighters, and has never failed to entertain me, putting on some of the most spectacular performances I've ever seen.

Furthermore, he's a decent guy, a true sportsman, and has never turned down a fight (or dodged a rematch) because he was afraid of losing. We need more guys like him in the sport.

              Yep, I'm back.
