Isn't the point of being a draw and large name being able to bring out crowds on your own accord ala DLH, Tyson, Leonard, etc?

Then, on the other hand, the stans talk about how easy these fights would be.

Sounds like a win/win situation to me.

Fight as a mega star while raking in huge amounts of money against someone hes already labeled as "easy work".

So like you, I ask, whats the problem?

Well, this is where it gets tricky. For one, we know he isn't half the star he or his fans claim to be. Second, we know he can't carry anywhere near a million PPVs on his own name. Last, we know he won't fight anyone in his own division, much less a top 5 fighter in that division.

I love it. The more time goes on that he takes on smaller and older fighters, or just simply refuses to fight, the more stans that jump off the bandwagon and see him for what he is.

A talker and not a walker.

Sounds a bit like Hiphop beefs. All talk, no action.

    Exactly!!!!!!

I order every PPV too, I'm a fan of boxing like you. But dude, you're clearly hating on the guy, admit it.

If you mean Shane Mosley, the guy that destroyed the then #1 WW Margarito then, Co-sign, Floyd needs to fight Mosley which is going to happen.
Fighters that consistently face the best of opposition, will at some point fold.

Boxing fans know this, Floyd stans don't.

Its really sad that with all of his talents, Floyd could have proved the check his mouth wrote against a stacked division when he was in it. 2 fights would have been enough for me against either Margarito, Cotto, Willams, Clottey or Mosley.

But what does he do instead?

He picks the smaller Hatton instead to defend the lineal welterweight championship.

Its obvious hes not as confident in his boxing abilities or drawing abilities if he couldn't make even one of those fights happen.

If Mayweather was humble like Oscar, he would do so much better.

Most people watch Mayweather to see him lose

No, hating would be dismissing his talents and sayin he has done nothing in the sport.

99% of posters here admit hes one of the most skillful boxers they've seen in their lifetime and have no qualms saying his work at 130 and 135 was just as good as anyone in history.

Being critical of someone who claims to be the best ever, while refusing to take on the most challenging fights while demeaning those potential opponents at the same time, is just that,

              being critical.

You guys are going to have to get a new angle because this one is quite thin now and about worn out.

good post, but anything less than tea bagging to the feeble minded huggers is hating.

The guy who holds a win over Mosely and manned up and actually fought Margarito instead of telling him he'd "fight him down the road". Go ahead, you can say his name.

Okay I understand and I myself would have like to see Cotto/Mayweather or Maragrito/Mayweather. But look at the facts, Williams beat Margarito right when all the 8 Mill hype was happening, Cotto beat Quintana, Cotto beats Mosley, Quintana beat Williams, Williams blasts Quintana, Margarito destroys Cotto, Mosley Demolishes Margarito...

and it's like a roller coaster ride, like seriously, who is the number 1 WW?

Gallo, If it was up to you, who would you have Floyd go against? 1 WW, who would it be?
