To be fair to the great Diego "Chico" Corrales, RIP, he was so dehydrated from not being able to make that weightclass anymore that he simply could not find the strength to put up the fight he typically put forward. He had been struggling for a couple fights prior to this to make the weight and simply couldn't anymore. This isn't Floyd's fault of course, but something tells me Floyd caught him at the right time. I'd say a prime Chico would have put up a much better fight, maybe not have won necessarily as Floyd was MUCH more impressive and aggressive back then......

I didn't include Matthysse for one reason: He got destroyed by Paul Williams and Cintron, and I mean just demolished. Hard hitter maybe, but I'm excluding him from the list because he's a C+ fighter on an otherwise B+ to A+ list.

And yes, as I have said I dislike Mosley targeting Hatton and Pacquiao, but I understand he is simply going for the megafight paycheck, and unfortunately for him it's against smaller and non competitive fighters that are the big draws right now. He really should unify WW, fight Mayweather, and retire.

That's a tough call for a couple reasons. One, Cotto hasn't fought at 154 yet, and personally I think his short and stocky stature is too small for the division. He would carry 154 just fine as he is big for 147, but his limited height/reach in addition to the larger 154 guys who cut from much heavier weights would spell trouble for Cotto. No disrespect to Cotto as I enjoy his fighting style and love to watch his fights as he is exciting and a brutal finisher.

As to whether Cotto at 154 could have beaten the Oscar De La Hoya who fought Mayweather that night I would have to say it would have been a COMPLETELY different fight. Oscar would have fought it different as Oscar would fear Cotto's body assault, and the only time I've seen Oscar clearly hurt was by someone who could punch in the body with authority. I really don't know if Cotto would win at 154 as he never fought there, but I do feel that Cotto would knock down Oscar with his body shots and make it a much more action oriented fight. It's really hard to speculate though as Cotto hasn't fought at 154. Until he does, the jury is still out on this one.

His defense is not that good, but he have enough offense to put Oscar on his defense.

Cotto would off hited Oscar to much to the body as well. And Cotto is much stronger than FLoyd, so he woulnt had to be backing off all the time. He could of put the presure on Oscar too. And Cottos timming is top in the spot right know. And his hand speed is decent, no near FLoyds tho.

I don't know man, the only person to put Oscar out was
Bernhard Hopkins (Prior to Manny). The only fighters to
put him down was Whittaker and Quartey. Oscar went
toe to toe twice with a prime Shane Mosley & never dropped
and fought close once and has a questionable loss to a steroid
Shane Mosley the second time. De La Hoya was known for his
durability and power prior to Manny. Before he fought Floyd he
KO'd Mayorga in the 4th or 5th right?

Took Mosley to the 12th to do that to an older Mayorga.
Cotto in mostly every major bout he's been hurt or wobbled
in some way. I think Oscar could have took a couple of Cotto
blows to give him that hook. Oscar was done when he fought
Steve Forbes but before he still had a lil life. The Oscar Pacquiao
fought, Cotto would have killed him but 154 Oscar, who put up a
good fight even against a defensive Mayweather.......not too sure.
