I said is a damn mismatch, and that they wont get as critisize as mayweather, because they take risks and fight everybody.

I never said is acceptable, I said they wont get as critisize

And why you guys dont put the same effort to critisize Mayweather on him fighting a old LW at WW as ou do in this thread to Mosley.

Anyways, is a mismatch, but they wont be as critisize, heyll probably dont get credit or if they do will be very little.
c'mon, man...you started off saying "MOSLEY DESERVES A PAYDAY. SO DOES COTTO." then, you went on to say it'd be a mismatch, BUT they won't get criticized........

either you're for them fighting pac-hatton, or you're not.....like you are with mayweather doing it.

Then again, Shane Mosley has been around a very long time and has proven his worth, so I can understand why people are having a problem with him chasing Pac or the Hitman as I myself have a problem with it. The problem is that neither are competitive fights for Sugar Shane, and I am a fan of both Pac and Hatton so it's not because I don't care for them as fighters, it simply wouldn't be a challenge. Mosley would destroy both of them in my opinion easily. They are too small and he has all the boxing skill plus power in the world, including size, and it simply isn't good matchmaking aside from the vast money it would earn him. Shane Mosley needs to unify the WW division, fight Mayweather, and retire, period.
I learned along time ago, if you sit around waiting for someone
or somebody to give you something or an opportunity that you
feel you earned, then prepare to be disappointed. Nothing is
guaranteed to you in life, you have to work for it and while
Shane paid his dues in the sport of boxing and I do agree he
should get a mega payday but from the business aspect he
didn't do enough and remember, he had the biggest win over
Oscar De La Hoya in his prime and couldn't even run with it.
Shane should have been in De La Hoyas shoes right now
after Oscar stepped out of them.

This wouldnt be right. The dream match is a completely different thing because of the way it turned out at the scales and on fight night. Big fan of Mosley but he should pick on some one his own size.

That's true. He should have been a lot farther along in terms of notoriety/success, but that's life. He is trying now to accomplish it so all credit to him for that. I don't like him pursuing the smaller guys for the paydays but it is what it is. They are the draws at the moment, but I'd much rather see Mosley fight Cotto again personally.

Yeah man I agree, more power to Shane but he should have
been trying to make himself the draw. Coming off that win
against Margarito was monumental. Right after I would have
called Berto out and took his green ass to school and added
another Welter Weight title and status to the pot to make
fighitng me look more attractive. Shane has a new trainer
in Nashim, he should be utilizing that man and get the most
out of their collaboration to obtain that big $ pay day. If
Cotto wins, that makes Cotto stock go up even more, Shane
coming off the Margarito annihilation and Cotto got beat by
Margarito prior to that fight with Mosley? They could sell
the **** out of that fight and call it "redemption" because
Cotto beat Shane, Margarito beat Cotto, Shane beat Margarito?
that is a very intriguing fight because it would settle who's who.
They need me as Shane's business manager or head of his
                Marketing team.

So far Champ@PR is the only one of the guys I called out with the ballz to post here......

                  Props for that but........

If light hitting Floyd cant fight Pac or JMM...then how do you explain Mosley being okayd to fight them when he absolutely destroyed and Knocked out a guy at WW no one thought could be stopped??

                  Thanks.

Yeah, I have to agree completely here as this were my sentiments as well in the direction Mosley should/should've taken. The only thing that prevented Mosley Cotto 2 from happening already was according to Shane he refused for it to happen in NYC as it was there last time and he lost a close disputed decision. I saw that fight as a 1 point SD for Shane, or at worst a draw. Shane ****** in the first 3-4 rounds as he didn't apply his jab as he did in the Margarito fight and seemed very hesitant. From 5 onward he was much more dominant, and had Cotto jogging backwards the last 2 rounds. So I can understand that NYC is Puerto Rico #2 for Cotto, but demanding it be held near where I live in Los Angeles is asking for the same bias. If anything that's a Vegas fight as it already has history behind it, and both fighters will make it a great fight again for the fans.
