after he won his first world title naseem stopped training properly
he would only train for 4/5 week without running
he stopped working on his defence(which was the cornerstone of all ingle fighters) & lazily relied on his one punch ko power which was enough for the vast majority of his opponents

also during his reighn the only person to outsell naz on ppv in america was tyson(even delahoya wasn`t as popular at the time)

naz was the first featherweight in the history of boxing to make millions & he opened the door for guys like barrera,morales & pacman

alot of people have a selective memory about naz but imo he had the potential to be up there with ali,robinson... etc

im sure plenty will scoff but as i said "selective memory"

Hmmm...Coulda...Shoulda...Woulda...bottom line is it didnt happen...Its quite easy to theorize what-could-have-beens. But thats all it will be, theories....On the other hand, what Barrera, Morales, Marquez, Pacman accomplished DID happen and are historical facts.

LOL, as good as he was he was never gona be up there with the likes of Ali and Robinson. And Naz was hardly ever on HBO PPV, his fight with Barerra werent even pay per view, i think.

He's been missed in the last two hall of fame ballot, hence he might not even finish off as a hall of famer.

He wasnt even the greatest featherweight. Barerra took him to school, so would have Morales with his right hand.

Naz is way overrated here. He was great no doubt but Manny is way faster and as powerfull, and naz got KD too many times against kesser opponents.

That's true man. People blow that fight way out of proportion. Barerra won by abot 7 rounds to 5. Styles make fights, and I think that if a overconfident Manny came and looked to trade with a prime 126 Hamed he would be put to sleep.
