Let's be clear Calzaghe's career is anything but a big deal. Nobody honestly thinks his legacy can match any top American fighters legacy. The way he punches should be considered an insult to boxing technicians worldwide.

I give ol' boy credit for his slap out put but jeez how does he K.O anybody. Cal make a boxing match look like a CAT FIGHT. Two bitches in a ring no man has beat him because nobody spars like a ****in cat.

Hatton I respect much more, not much technique but tough as a mu-****a and he punches like a man.

Sorry, I still don't view that as a win for Calzaghe. I had it 114-113 B-Hop

How big would you rate Clottey beating Bradley at 154? My point is a career 140 fighting two weight classes above his normal weight and a guy jumping one weight class.

Im kinda mixing apples and oranges but everybody always talks about how Joe moved up to fight Hop when Hop was only there for the Tarver fight, if anything Hopkins moved up 2 classes to meet Joe who only had to move up one.

This isnt to belittle Cal's win, but I vaguely tried to make a correlation between weight classes, albeit not the best.

Hatton didn't move up; he just skipped the charade of the weigh-in for the scales at JrWW. No need to dehydrate and rehydrate. Floyd doesn't come in over 149 for WW bouts. Ricky comes in at 149+ for his JrWW bouts. Way over-blown with the weight issue.

For Hopkins: His last best fight was Tito, mabye one fight after that. He lost to TAYLOR for a reason; he was past his best. Go back and watch the Tito fight and all his fights before...it's a better fighter. For Pavlik win: It just means Pavlik was overrated and wasn't athletic like Taylor was. Hell, Pavlik also broke down mentally faster than Taylor which was a bit surprising.

Calzaghe was also knocked down by an Old Man and the fight was close. Some even thought Hopkins won; nobody thinks Hatton won.
Hopkins gassed out because he started early and at his age, there is only so much in the tank...especially when you cannot dictate the pace for your old leaking fuel tank; something he hadn't done in a long time...which was also why he lost to Taylor but the reverse; Hopkins started to late.

Hopkins also fought the majority of his career at MW and moved up to face a deflated Tarver who messed up his body just like Roy did before him for his match (with Tarver). Tarver's win over Jones was due to a deflated Jones Jr. and Hopkins win over Tarver was due to a deflated Tarver (plus his fights with Johnson). Tarver just learned what Jones Jr. went through but kept his mouth shut because a KO win over Jones is better than a loss to Hopkins.

Floyd just doesn't drain weight like the rest of the JrWW that way the near, the same, or even more than Floyd does when he fights at WW.

Floyd is 149 come fight-time. How much is Hatton?
Pac was 147 when he fought Diaz.

Take away the ability for a fighter to drain and rehydrate for a fight, let's see what's up.

People like to use hopkins age as an excuse, yet Hopkins has been beating good/great fighters even at his old age.

And its not like Calzaghe was a spring chicken either.
