I can agree that Carl would probably be beat handily by Joe, but I don't know about him getting Manfredo'd.
I always said if Jones had legs for that fight he would beat Calzaghe. He did not. lol I think they died in round one. Rewind 10 years to "RJ" and you have a different story.

As for Mafredo that was more of a joke as where the fight and the fat POS ref. Ultimately Manfredo was in over his head as he was NEVER an "American Champion" as he was claimed to be. But the stoppage was horrible and I could see it happening again just not as dramatic that early on. That or Froch fighting dirty to a DQ.

Froch is very limited, and a limited fighter cant do what Calzaghe did to Kessler.

      Manfredo = American People's Champ, babiez !!

Froch is limited, no doubt. I'll still give him an inkling of a shot against Joe, dependent on him landing something big, which I refuse to completely rule out having watched Joe for years.

Gatti was a "PEOPLES CHAMP"! Manfredo was a reality TV show "star"... so to speak.

A key or stepping stone for Calzaghe to say he fought one of "the best" from America in his hometown to look good. Nothing more nothing less. Manfredo was and is still nothing more than "a guy that fought on that tv show ROCKY started"...

anyway as I said Froch loses his next to fights, one possibly by way of knock out. Far fetched but if someone where to do it, AA would be the man because Froch wants to stand there and ****. AA will me the man to do it. Kessler just out boxes him to an easy UD.

but speaking of boxing...... off to the gym my friend.

Ohhhhhhhh, when the Super Six ties were announced, the Abraham match-up was the one that made me immediately fear for Froch's health.

LOL Have a good one, WESS.

You're wrong about that, yet you speak on it as though it's fact.

FACT: Joe didn't even want that fight. HBO did. Calzaghe did interviews with Steve Bunce and said very openly "I'm bored of these kind of fights, I can't get up for it at all." The fact that he got a good pay day sweetened the deal, but the main intention was to get Joe's his name out there to the USA boxing fans, that's all. BTW, Ray Leonard said Manfredo could beat Calzaghe.

You don't know **** if you honestly think Calzaghe was proud of that fight, wanted that fight, or wanted to prove he'd fought "one of the best" from America. Joe knew Manfredo was **** and knew he was nowhere near America's best. He did it for the money. Easy night's work.

Thanks, and way to be a sport since I consistently trashed Froch! Its all out of love. I've praised Froch at times, just wasn't impressed with the outcome last weekend. But its what ever. I never had Dirrell winning the entire super six anyway.

                anyway i'm out!

I would have done it too. 35,000 fans in your hometown turn up to see you slap a nobody around for 10 minutes? **** yeah, I'd do it. I don't even think Joe trained for that fight.

Calzaghe was a millionaire before the fight with Manfredo.

I didn't say proud. You said exactly what I said but in different words. You could see that when the ref called the fight Joe looked disappointed. It was a fight to get his name out there. He used the many terms about Manfredo to hype the fight. It was just to get his name out there. I never mentioned if he was proud or not. Of course it was for a pay day. Same thing Mayweather dose but gets **** for it right???? Its always for a payday but when its Mayweather that's a different story.

Manfredo was a stepping stone to get Joe's name out there. Peter was an American TV show "star" nothing more nothing less. All I was saying was Peter was an exposure fight. I never said he was proud of it.
