Is Floyd Sr being classless by bashing and making fun of Roach?

Roach may be ill but he's never short of words when he comes to Mayweather Sr.

Mayweather isn't being personal with his comments on Roach and vice versa, It's just a boxing trainer rivalry which is helping hype up the fight between Hatton and Pacquiao.

In fact, if you think about it, the Mayweather very seldom gets personal with their comments. They insult fighters, to be sure. all the time. But they insult their skills and abilities. Which I think hurts some of these guys more.

For example:

Gatti : "We call our heavy bag in the gym Arturo Gatti. Because that's all he does - take punishment". He throws wide punches.

Delahoya : mocked Oscar's stiff style. Said the guys Oscar beat were over-the-hill. "He's straight up and down - no special effects" . "We all know Oscar gets tired". And, the one that hurt Oscar the most: "I could be 130, and you be 160, and I'd STILL beat you".

Hatton; "He throws wide hooks. He comes face-first. He has no jab. He's one-dimensional."

In fact, it's pretty hard to find personal comments made by the (generally over-the-top) Mayweathers.

does anyone believe that hatton can realy understand seniors accent.

Had Roach been a normal functioning human being, i can understand all the back and forth trash talk, but the fact is, Roach is a very ill man. I like Floyd Sr, but i feel his taunting of Roach by calling him "Freddy the joke coach Roach", and all the other things that he's said about roach is a bit over the line, and classless in my opinion.

What do u guys think?

i think roach would probably prefer this himself rather than floyd holding back and not cracking these little jokes because of freddys illness, im sure hed rather be treated like mayweather would treat him if he didnt have parkinsons than make special allowances for him

I find it amusing and I dont see no harm in it.

I think once though he called him punch drunk and that was crossing the line and uncalled for. But you have to consider Floyd Senior is a bit wacked out and in la la land a lot of the time.

I've always hated Floyd Sr, who has absolutely no class. But that doesn't change the fact that this is ultimately just pre fight hype and Roach is happy to play along.

Its just pre fight hype. Imagine if nobody trash talks before the fight and just keeps on giving credit to the other fighter. Floyd Sr pre -fight trash is additional 100,000 ppv buys.

I personally don't give a **** either way. Roach is a big boy and he can give as good as he can take. Bob Arum had to tell him to shut up during the negotiations for the Delahoya-Pacquiao fight. I hate when people try to portray Roach as some quiet humble guy. He isn't and he's far from it. He can talk trash as good as anybody.
