When they can't make a fight competitive, it's understandable that they aren't gonna win titles but do we really wanna see someone try and win a title who is clearly past it? (example, Calzaghe Vs Jones), but if they can still provide entertaining fights under title level then they can keep going, it's when they're in it purely for the payday they should stop IMO.

I liked Ryan ********'s recent "beating the house" thoughts on this subject.

Would that God revealed himself to all boxers before that 'one fight too many' and told them it was time to hang the gloves up, you can bet it still wouldn't count for **** in the majority of cases.

The alarm call to get out of boxing is usually when you start getting the piss beat out of you. But if you're aware enough to time your exit right before that eventuality, fair play.

                    Until next time, it's M.I.B.

I had the opportunity to meet Ken Norton Sr. and do a little security for him while he did an autograph session here in Vegas and when ever he talked you had to put your ear practically in his mouth to hear or understand him. One of the best fighters that can still talk good is George Foreman, you would think not but amazingly he speaks just as good as any of us. So when should a fighter retire???? do brainscans and test cognative abilities of the boxer... if fail tests, then retire
