No Hatton promotes himself via his company Punch Promotions. GBP acts as his US representative, that's all (similar set-up to Hayemaker Promotions and GBP). Hatton's own promotions company negotiated with Arum, not GBP, and they wanted the fight to be at Wembley and offered a lot of money, but Arum said no.

Las Vegas, USA is the center of boxing. where all top class boxers fights. if the boxer just stay fighting only in his own nation or country, the boxer wouldnt recognized around the world. It is like playing on NBA, where top class player around the world and in every nation plays.Comment

these two go to fight, give the public their moneys worth....you can have skills and fight, give a good show, have the public leave happy thinking it was worth it,,,but when you get guys in there who stink up the place just running and holding,it sucks and calling it "boxing" instead of running,it sucks, that is their excuse,"they are boxing"...hell no,you can show your skills without running, dodge punches, throw combinations, thats why guys like klitschko, ruiz, oquendo, spinks bore me to death. i like watching haye, williams, pacquiao, marquez, soto, kirkland, linar es,gamboa, these guys come to fight, not run and holdComment

This fight is being hyped along the lines of the post-Hopkins DLH super events and Mayweather-Hatton, none of which have delivered inside the ropes. This will be different, and it is great for the sport that a huge audience on PPV (hopefully) will be treated to a great fight between two mega personalities.
Whoever wins, the fans will say "I want to see him fight again!" And, if it's a great fight, whoever that is, the fans will say "I want to see how he comes back from that loss." It's a win-win for boxing, unless it's a complete snoozefest, which is impossible with Pacquiao involved.Comment
