the swelling will by the end of the first round, and yes all plans go out the window when the damage starts to accumulate. I am in no way trying to discount the fighter Ricky is but again I think he will be another fighter who will be shocked by the abilities and speed of Manny Pacquiao. He is truly a different animal. Look at how easily he got thru DLH's defense. Mayweather couldnt do that to Oscar until closer to the end of the fight but Manny did from the opening minute of the opening round. He took Oscar's will away and put a world of doubt into Oscar's mind.

How can he be faster or stronger exactly? To me, he will look and operate exactly how he did against Oscar. No?
No, you're wrong, actually you're dead wrong. This fight will look nothing like the De La Hoya fight. Manny might be the same Manny, but Ricky is not De La Hoya. DLH gave Manny all sorts of room to operate because he was trying to time Manny, bad idea. Ricky will not do that. Manny will not have the sort of space he loves, and he will not be able to fight the same way. Ricky will smother him, hit to the body, and tie him up. If Manny is good enough to beat Ricky at that game, more power to him, he's a great fighter.

But mark my words, if you think this fight will resemble De La Hoya - Pacquiao, you are sorely mistaken. I don't doubt Manny can beat Ricky and has a great chance to, but it will not be the same fight.

I'll bump my thread so you can read more.

Unlike Oscar, Ricky isn't scared to take a punch on the way in and he's quick enough to hunt down his man and wrestle him. Oscar just stood there taking a beating, he didn't even throw.

lol, I never said it would look like the Oscar fight. I said Manny will probably operate similar in the way he moves and carries his punch/speed. Of course this fight will be 100x different than against Oscar. Oscar was a dead mule before the fight began. Even Freddie Roach knew that! Also, your dead wrong, because you said, "DLH gave Manny all sorts of room to operate because he was trying to time Manny, bad idea. Ricky will not do that." If you watched 24/7, Floyd Sr. kept mentioning how timing is how you beat speed and you'll see how Ricky's timing is going to do that. I think Ricky is definitely gonna use timing and particularly with his left hook or maybe some other new surprise. BUT, I also think he's gonna have a hard time with the timing because Manny's lateral movement is hard to deal with for many opponents.

don't kid yourselves people I can just see the fight being stopped due to Hatton taking to much damage and bleeding profusely.

Against Oscar, the height made a diffirence when Pac was throwing punches. You can see him trying to elavate to reach Oscar which probably deacrase his power even though his speed is still there. I am not saying he would KO Oscar if they were the about the same height. Against Hatton, the speed is still there but he doesn't have to reach Oscar's head to hit him. Pac and Ricky are about the same height.
