Pavlik beat Taylor who lost to Hopkins who beat Pavlik. Who is the best?

Fighting the last of the remaining doesn't mean you beat the other guys as well.

      This isn't an NCAA tourny.

Why judge him now? Floyd Sr. said JMM is just a tune up for Shane and correct me if I'm wrong, Didn't Shane say Mayweather said "Not yet". As for the question, Mayweather was already contemplating his retirement during the DLH fight. Hatton just had the mouth/ money to bring him out

Anyway, we should all be patient. He might possibly face Cotto

But then he came back when Cotto had already got the **** beat out of him, Margarito's reputation was in shambles, and Williams was fighting at 160?

(I was talking with Clegg earlier today and he brought up the above, and I figured it was too good not to make a thread for.)
all i gotta say is that cotto was supposed to beat margo and then get the megafight vs delahoya.

cotto failed and we are where we are.

            nobody was gonna fight pwill.

Coincidently after Floyd Maynever retired without facing the real WW he comes back and doesn't want any part of the division. Floyd has always use the weight divisions to avoid the top fighters in his weight class. Moving up in weight untill he couldn't move up anymore.
If Juan Manuel Marquez can't become a champion at W.W what kind of a fighter is Floyd fighting?

Yeah, it's.. ermm... not too good...

He might fight Cotto for all we know, but it won't have that same appeal. The battle of the unbeaten 147 kings. Although, with the Margo controversy does help it somewhat, it's still now quiet the same..

How come when Margarito beat Cotto you hardly heard a word about Floyd fighting Cotto and it was all- oh Floyd should fight Margarito.

Now Cotto beats Michael Jennings and all of a sudden he's the man Floyds ducking?

People are quite fickle, need to make their minds up who Floyd should fight. In an ideal world he'd fight Cotto, Margarito, Mosely, Pacman and Williams but we all know he won't.

I didn't see anybody squirm..I saw a broke mexican begging for a shot he didn't do **** to earn.

You can't go from Keyvelos and Gomez to Mayweather and expect to win or even be taken seriously.

All Tony had to do was dump his WBO title..that would have made him Floyd's MANDITORY.

Floyd would've just found another excuse not to fight him. He probably would've **** himself and vacated it.

No, honestly speaking though, why would Margarito give up the belt that he had earned and defended for 5 years prior to that to become Floyd's mandatory?

Who even knows if Floyd would've fought him if he were his mandatory?
