According to most Floyd fans, Floyd isnt a WW, nor is he a JWW.

Uh, I know why he makes decisions. You're not bringing anything new to the table.

I'm just telling you that because he makes those decisions, it doesn't make him anything near the best fighter in the world since he refuses to challenge himself.

If we go by your route, Oscar De La Hoya has been the best pound for pound fighter for over 15 years.

But yea, you worry about another mans bank account like a woman does, and I'll continue to enjoy the actual in ring sport of boxing.

        that sums it up.

margarito was the only WW to ever make a direct offer to floyd, and not just talk......the baldomir fight was more $$$, so he took that one.
He made $1 more to fight Baldomir. Dont u remember the whole debacle on how Floyd is making $8,000,001 to fight Baldo instead of $8,000,000 to fight Margarito?

Floyd saw an easy opportunity to grab the titles from an easy opponent, and he jumped on it. That's all.

Yeah he is wrong. Still- not a duck. A duck would imply that anyone gave two ****s about that worthless ******* Margarito other than his Mexican jockriders. Ever.

Margie was never anyone and Floyd just decided to go after the titles. Simple. I vividly remember all the usual ****suckers at the time going on and on about how Baldo would beat his ass. then it was "floyd ducked Judah" (LOL). then when he signed to fight Judah later, on people were like Judah will beat him. Then judah lost and Floyd went ahead with the fight anyway. Then it was like "he's a***** for facing Judah"....

              And so it goes....

I also agree with this... Margarito was nobody, Floyd got the same money to fight for a title... seems basic to me.

Tell em,if floyd fights just for money, more power to him,but with a weak resume and his fan admitting he only fights for the money, then how the hell can they justify calling him an ATG,when they just admitted that their boy cherrypicks based on figures and low risk!!Way to stick it floyders!!!

him being the best wasn't the point of the thread....the point of the thread was is floyd a JWW, or a WW, becasue you guys argue that he doesn't fight WW's, but wants to fight AT ww.............

my point was that he simply takes the fights that offer him the most money. period. it has nothing to do with ducking, dodging, or cherry-picking, its just the fact that dude fights for MONEY. we all know that, we all understand that.

personally, i'd love to see him fight cotto. i would've loved to see him fight margarito after he beat cotto........my point is, if a pacman fight comes around at the same time as a cotto fight, and cotto is offering 8 million, while pacman is offering 15, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out which offer floyd will accept first. i understand that boxing is a business, which is why i don't get all upset when floyd chooses his fights.....that doesn't make me any less of a boxing fan than you, i'm a realist tho. try it, and you really wouldn't give a **** about who floyd fights, you'd pay attention to fighters YOU like.....

                      This is partly true.

Floyd can't be blamed for taking an easier fight for a higher reward and equal pay day. No one can criticize him for making that decision.

It's the fact that he never went on to face a credible WW that sucks. While most people, including myself, would favor him over everyone at WW, it sucks that we'll probably never get to see it.
