why is JMM the #2 P4P when in reality it should be hopkins?

    hmm... interesting.

i belive it has to do with him losing to joe and him droping just below jmm then when floyd retired pacman was one joe was two and jmm was three bhop was five or four when joe retired jmm took over the second spot.

The first one, no IMO. The second one wasn't that long back really, so I do consider that one. Especially seeing as Pac is rather as #1.

          I wouldn't argue Bhop bein # 2, but I don't think it's blasphemous for JMM to be #2 either.

thats a good point the first one......

            but jmm victories are...

            diaz?
            casamayor?
            and old mab?
            rocky juarez?

            and the pac fights.

i think that if nard lands a fight either with adamek or dawson.. he steem roll jmm with out a doubt!

and we have to wait how does marquez look against floyd....

cos if he last less than 9 .... thats another story....

              i can agree with this...

unless nard lands and wins over adamek or dawson...

JMm should be #2 because he fought and what a lot of people think, beat the best pound4pound fighter in the world.

His victory over Casamayor was a major one because he moved up in weight against a very good, seasoned, slick fighter and he KO'd him.

He also stopped Juan Diaz, a very tough kid who has a tough, physical style.

JMM is a beast, there is no doubt about this.

this victory is a good one... but .. the name of nate campbell comes to my mind .....

JMM is a beast, there is no doubt about this. no doubt about that

if he lasts less then 9, I don't blame him. You saw how small he looked against Diaz and even before that he was considered a small super featherweight. Now he is fighting @ jr. welter, a division he has never been in before.

Yes Casamayor is old but he had just come off a win against Katsidis.
Juan Diaz had never been KO'd.
but besides that, he unified the division.. Bernard was once a unified champion, that doesn't mean he is one now though.

Think about it, a blown up Wright, a loss to Joe, and a blown up Pavlik.
Does that really surpass what Marquez has done these last few fights?
I really don't think so.. adamek or dawson would put him above Marquez if Marquez losses to Mayweather, which he probably will.
If somehow, someway Marquez pulled the upset though, there is no way Hopkins is going above him.

For the record though, I wouldn't mind Hopkins being #2 in the rankings. Both are great I just think that JMM has had more defining fights than Hopkins in the past few years.
