I dont want to take nothing away from JMM... but besides the pac... fights....

(casamayor was a ****ty victory, baby bull was a good one but not a great one, rocky juares same as baby bull but less good.. and mab good win... plus the pac fights)

but in my humble oppinion nard deserve to be # 2 not jmm. his wins are bigger

I like JMM, but I love Hopkins...

However, I think JMM deserves the number 2 spot. JMM lost a close as hell decision to the Numero uno P4P (I had him winning 114-113, but I don't *****), then moved up to not only beat, but knock out, two of the best 135 pounders in the world, both guys known for having very good chins. Hopkins lost a close one to P4P 2 (I had it 114-113 Calzaghe), then beat up on a top rated, but very limited fighter in Kelly Pavlik, a top fighter at Middleweight.

Hopkins deserves to be up there, no doubt. But JMM deserves #2 for me..

I believe it has to do with activity.

Bernard Hopkins isn't the most active fighter, though he put on a masterful performance against the young Kelly Pavlik. Marquez post the Pacquiao fight took out Joel Casamayor (never previously KO'd) and Juan Diaz (never previously KO'd). That alone is enough for me to accept his #2 status.

Marquez is overrated. I always say this before.
He doesn't deserved on that spot for having a DRAW and SD loss against Pac.
Beating shot Casamayor and overrated bum Diaz that had been exposed by grandpa Campbell.

Good win, but that was a pretty long time ago. I was just looking at both guys after their most recent losses.

Bernard Hopkins forces dudes to move up 10 pounds to fight them, Marquez comes and fights them at their divisions.. that's why.

Bernard also lost to Calzaghe, granted Marquez lost to Pacquiao but Marquez looked better in his defeat (many felt he won) then Bernard did in his.
