Actually it was three fights that Alexander has taken to stay active and it could have been more if he'd have known that Bradley wasn't going to fight him late last summer or early last fall. Bradley negotiated with him so he didn't fight. Had he known that Bradley was going to fight Edner Cherry instead, Alexander probably would have had about 5 fights since he became the mandatory.

Kelly Pavlik fought his mandatory. Bradley hasn't. Pavlik's promoter put him on a PPV when faced with the choice of keeping the title. Bradley's decided to dare the WBC to strip him and after close to a year they finally did.
You can choose to refuse to understand that if you want, but the WBC did what it did because Bradley wasn't going to fight his mandatory.Comment

Thats why i dont see sorry for Bradley, He should have fought Devon and get the fight out of the way, I just dont like the inconsistency from the WBC....Comment

And thats the problem. The rules here were CORRECTLY applied (for once). What sucks is when Floyd, Oscar, or Pac can keep the title for 2 years or more without ever doing a mando and never get stripped, simply because they are paying so much money to the WBC in sanctioning fees.......Comment

Then WHY doesn't Sergio Martinez gets his looonnnngggg awaited shot at Vernon Forrest why doesn't Forrest get stripped, how come when Pongsaklek Wonjongkam was 112lb champ he made 3 defenses being Jorge Arce the Interim champ whom by the way made 4 defenses and never were enforced to face each other or the Thai being stripped.Kelly Pavlik fought his mandatory. The WBC is by far one of the most corrupted organizations in boxing it's funny to see how Dictator Sulaiman comes out and says "Bradley stepped on the rule that gave him the WBC title, tarnishing the prestige, the image and the honor of all WBC champions."
What reputation, isn't this the same council that almost went bankrupped for violating it's own rules, isn't this the same person that tried to overrule a referee's decision in the Soto vs Lorenzo bout and declared the title vacant once again, isn't this the same person that made the Mexican Boxig Comission take Naoki Matsuda well earned victory over Rodolfo Lopez to a no contest in Mexico. These are just a few examples.
The WBC has no prestige and no honor while Sulaiman keeps on being the President...Comment

Depends if he really was out of sorts the night Bradley beat him. I mean, I wouldn't rule Witter out. But Bradley is the favourite. He'll have improved a hell of a lot with the confidence he got out of beating Witter and Holt alone. And there's the oft-repeated maxim that a belt gives a fighter more of an edge.Comment
