Unless Floyd Sr changed Hatton's genetics I think Hatton has to make this fight a brawl, inside, and ugly at points to win. If he tries to box wit Manny he'll get a lesson and mite be stopped...

if pac cant back hatton off, its going to be a long night for manny
Sanchez was no pressure fighter. He stood on the outside and gave Manny problems and the headbutt and fouls had alot to do with it.

people call Pacquiao a brawler sometimes, but he really isnt an infighter. He can swing quickly and has power, but for the most part he needs a decent amount of distance for his punches to be really effective.
Barrera, though a bit old, was able to chop him with some very close right hands and a left hook breaking out of the clinch, and this is the kind of stuff Hatton does best.

if Hatton screws around trying to fight at a distance(which his camp seems to be hinting at), then hes going to get his ass kicked. Manny is too quick, and Hatton is wide open for left hands.

but if he can push his way to the inside and keep the fight at super short distance(like he did against Kostya Tsyzu) then he might have a pretty decent chance at winning.
I see Manny beating a much better fighter then Hatton in Barrera. Keep trying to convince yourself that a fighter of Hatton's calibre will beat a legend like Manny P without fouling the **** out of him.

glad you brought up the Sanchez fight, it was one of the rougher moments in his career.(for a non superweightdrained him)
I think that Pac's inability to throw crisp flurries is what FMS was referring to when he said that Manny punches like an amateur. Inside, Pac 'pushes" some short combo punches and looks for the exit door.

Manny likes space. He has very strong legs, and likes to spread them and explode from those powerful calves through his punches. Just like Zab does. The danger for manny's opponents seem to be at the end of MP's extension. He doesn't really "torque" through his hooks the way that RH or PBF do. That's prolly why he hasn't been an effective bodypuncher.

Side note: that is why I think MM would dominate Manny. Put pressure on him and make him go backwards. Break him down indside.

Barrera is a smaller and weaker fighter than Hatton. The MAB of the 2nd fight was not a better fighter than a current Hatton.

The best chance Hatton probably has is to land the same leaping left hook that flattened The Great Carlos Maussa....lol

and consider this....if a Maussa can hold his own with Hatton and **** his face up like that....what is a way more experienced and refined, super fast, straight power punch throwing, buzzsaw Southpaw like Pacquiao gonna do to him?

              You already know...

Hatton huggers....prepare to get embarrassed and be depressed again.

                What's up, my brother?....it's me, man....The C.E.O.

and mmmmmm hmmmmmm.....a desperation, shoot the moon, leaping left hook OR being allowed to use an illegal game plan and style all night long...

but we don't have to worry about that last part....Bayless has got that covered....he's a proper ref.

Hatton has a great chance period,I am still baffled,as to why people think Pacman just strolls into 140 and destroys the long standing champ??Who is the most physical fighter Pacman will have faced to date!!

are you trying to suggest that Im a Hatton fan? wow.

just to make it clear, I have Pacquiao winning this fight...Hatton bleeds if you breath on him too hard, hes wide open to left hands and is particularly bad against southpaws.

dont try to make believe that Pacquiao is a flawless fighter himself though. even the greatest fighters of all time have had rough nights against lesser fighters who were simply a bad style for them in some way.

He sure is fast. I hope Hatton can pull it off.
