The best chance Hatton has in this fight

go to about 2:40 and watch, or just watch the whole round.

people call Pacquiao a brawler sometimes, but he really isnt an infighter. He can swing quickly and has power, but for the most part he needs a decent amount of distance for his punches to be really effective.
Barrera, though a bit old, was able to chop him with some very close right hands and a left hook breaking out of the clinch, and this is the kind of stuff Hatton does best.

if Hatton screws around trying to fight at a distance(which his camp seems to be hinting at), then hes going to get his ass kicked. Manny is too quick, and Hatton is wide open for left hands.

but if he can push his way to the inside and keep the fight at super short distance(like he did against Kostya Tsyzu) then he might have a pretty decent chance at winning.

bingo......pac is such a bad inside fighter......he HATES! inside fighting......also go look at a fight with him against agapito sanchez....sanchez was a true "pressure" fighter and pac was lucky to get cut before round 4, so it could be stopped.

if pac cant back hatton off, its going to be a long night for manny

truth. notice how he always lightly clinches or tries to pull out right away when the fight gets real close.

glad you brought up the Sanchez fight, it was one of the rougher moments in his career.(for a non superweightdrained him)

yea i think pacquiao looked like **** in the second barrera fight...but barrera looked to tenative to throw anything good.....pac just had an off night that night....i've seen in most of the clinches against his opponents he just tryes to push them off....manny said on the 24/7 show that they are working on his inside game....but he shouldnt even test hatton there....and he doesnt have the iq of a floyd, jr. to out smart hatton inside.

Ask anyone who has watched Manny's career and for damn sure theyll say he has improved tremendously.

Ask anyone has watched Hatton's career and for sure theyll say, he looks the same since he first started. Maybe using the jab more but still mauling and brawling his opposition.

I actually dont know about that. personally, the overall best Pacquiao Ive ever seen is the one from the first Pacquiao fight. hes gotten better skill wise, but his speed, workrate, power...I think he fit in better at the lighter weights.

the punch he landed on diaz was thrown in a discreet manner man... it was thrown as if MP was standing very erect... very little distance was needed by him...

same with the one that put JMM down in their 2nd fight... it was almost identitical the way it was thrown...
