Depends on the definition of ATG. The most common definition is "top 100 of all time", and I think he'd get into the top 100.

He's not on the level of the Ray Robinsons or the Willie Peps, obviously.

Why does this article say that DLH is the lineal champ at 154 yet in the FMJ article it's only 'hazy' that Mayweather is the lineal champ?

If I'm reading it correctly, he's talking about Oscar's first reign as JMW champ in which he lost to Shane, which Shane lost to Winky.

Winky gave up his titles to move up to MW. So in fact, Winky was the last man to be lineal champ. Oscar got a title from Ricardo Mayorga, which Floyd won, but there was no set path since Winky won then vacated.

Honestly...the lineage stuff confuses me on how it's determined. I wish to be educated...especially now reading the JMW entry. So if Winky gave it up and no clear path was set since then. How do we get a lineal champ again @154?

Because Rold is not referring to the second title reign, which was the Mayorga win and Mayweather loss. It's the first title reign, which was the Castillejo win and the eventual Mosley loss.

Castillejo's title had a lineage from Terry Norris, Mayorga's title was vacant when he won it and it was against Picirillo.

If there's a lineal champion, the title can only be won by beating the champion.

If the title has been vacated, the title can only be won if the #1 and #2 contenders fight each other, or very occasionally if the #1 and #3 contenders fight each other.

As you say, the Jnr Middleweight title has been vacant since Winky vacated.
