If Marquez can give Manny Pacquiao more heat than all of the bigger men that Manny has faced, why can't that be applied to this fight? Weight isn't an issue here. Especially the way Floyd fights.

    Is name is Mayweather remember...

If Floyd was defeated by a smaller fighter in Marquez, I don't know that going back to welterweight would be plausible for him really. We all know Marquez is a great fighter and to lose to him is nothing to be ashamed of, but FMJ's legitimacy would be destroyed at WW. Think about what just happened to Oscar. He was taken apart by a much lighter fighter, and he promptly retired afterwards. Could Floyd conceivably retire upon losing to Marquez? I don't think his ego could allow it personally. It's an interesting thought....

if he loses though, it would help out his legacy, cause then he would fight better fighters, mayweather is extremly good boxer, i just dont think he is testing himself.

I dont think weight would be a big issue, if you're paul williams or margarito yes but Mayweather isnt that big...

18 months lay off could have a negative or positive effect on the body, It all depend on how your body react to certain thing but if Mayweather has to make weight the same way oscar did against Pacman then he would surely lose.

The odds of Floyd winning should go down if it is not at 147. Floyd is going to have to lose weight now. Add in age, inacitivity, what he was both mentally and physically going into retirement...and the history of fighters coming out of retirement....and moving down in weight......not a good sign.

                    • JMM , just get the right weight

JMM is better than Castillo, and if they come in around 140 -142 he has a great chance of upsetting littlechickenrun ! He has proven his counterpunching ability, gameness so I am going with him to whup and warm up the nice head of da CHICKENweather! I hope he has the best preperation of his life and pulls the upset !
