I don't think so either, not that many people have the skills that Floyd has..

Roach and Pac have been working not to do this, Hatton also does the same thing jumping in..

I agree also, Tszyu was a master of timing people coming in with his right hand.
Speed will be the key. Both guys make mistakes whoever can capitalize on those mistakes the most wins. I think Pac is fast enough to get away with it more.

        And?

that means Sr. doesn't know what he is talking about?

Foreman also won the HW title, twice, and wasn't Joe Louis in punching technique. It worked for him, but if someone was to say Foreman wasn't the best technique puncher, are you going to disagree given Louis is the comparison?

And it doesn't even mean that Sr. wasn't better than Pac in punching technique just because Pac won titles and he didn't.

        Again, higher standards for Sr.

Compare Pac to Louis, SRR, Hearns, Floyd Jr, etc.

In your opinion, did joe calzaghe have an amateurish punching/flurrying style?

For Floyd Sr. every guy fights like an amateur who doesnt fight the style he prefers and trains. Thats just trash talk, nothing serious though. He knows Pac is one hell of a fighter.

Very true; Hatton does it as well. I think that is why it is a Must to do everything behind the jab for Hatton. Same actually for Pac. He did quite well in the Diaz fight with throwing the jab and the right-hook. It prevented him from his usual, lunge in with the right-jab, left-cross. People can revert back to what they were/are when heavy pressure is applied. We'll see though.

One thing I found interesting on 24/7 was when Roach adn Moorer were watching Hatton vids and saying "He just reverts back to hitting and holding all the time". The fight they were watching? Hatton v Collazo!

Yes Freddy, in Hatton's worst ever performance he was terrible.

and in his best performance vs kostya he held for 2/3 of each
round and threw a blatant low blow which he lost no points for
                  what a cheat

The reason why Pacquiao seems to be lunging is because he is trying to win by KO. That's what happens when any fighter tries to fight like Pac.

With your logic you would say Tyson in his prime punched like an amateur because he too lunged (quite a lot) when he was going for the kill.

It's impossible to fight technical for Pac's style because his strong points come out when he fights like he does, although he has changed some what in the last two fights.

You're not going to see anyone fighting like Mayweather be exciting. If Pac fought as safely as Mayweather then he would look technically sound also.

You don't even have to wait. If Pac beats Hatton, Mayweather Sr. will go straight to saying Floyd Jr. will maul Pac. Nothing else.
