I almost laughed when I heard that. I was like are you insane man? Pacquiao's style allows him to throw straight up the pike in 3 and 4 hit combos. Hatton will get to see first hand on Saturday night how bad Pacquiao punches. I wonder if DLH thinks that he punches like an amateur?

I wonder what Mayweather Sr. will say regarding Roach and Pacman after the fight if Manny wins?

he was refering to how sometimes Manny doesnt turn his knuckles out when he punches. if you watch Manny shadow box u can see what he's talking about.

Yes, because Pac throws fast and throws many punches, like Calzaghe, it causes a problem. He's better than Calzaghe in both departments by the way.
However, even though I do think he has gotten better given his last two fights with Diaz and ODLH, and I'm just looking at Pac, I still don't think he is comparable to the sharpness Floyd Jr....which is what Sr. may be looking at.

Or for a Pressure fighter, like a young Prime Tyson with Head-movement and precision punching.

But, Pac is still good nonetheless and has improved. The object would be to make him revert back to being sloppy both on his back foot, and when he lunges in.

Certain style match-ups would be bad though. If this was a Prime Kostya Tszyu instead of Hatton, I think Tszyu would knock Pac out.

I really feel Hatton will win.

I think Pac has gotten better than what he was but I wouldn't put his punching technique up there with a lot of Greats...but it is effective because he punches fast and a lot...like Calzaghe.
Although I do wonder if both had fought certain fighters in their prime, how would they do?
Manny has far better technique than Joe...it's not even close.

Joe looks like a drowning spider monkey when he flurries.

                  And?

that means Sr. doesn't know what he is talking about?

Foreman also won the HW title, twice, and wasn't Joe Louis in punching technique. It worked for him, but if someone was to say Foreman wasn't the best technique puncher, are you going to disagree given Louis is the comparison?

And it doesn't even mean that Sr. wasn't better than Pac in punching technique just because Pac won titles and he didn't.

                  Again, higher standards for Sr.

Compare Pac to Louis, SRR, Hearns, Floyd Jr, etc.

In all honesty. Yes and No. He fights like a really good, dumb amatuer. Look at it this way.
                      • Throws wild punches
                      • Has no defense
                      • Throws himself off balance
                      • Smothers himself on flurries

Thats what amatuers do. The thing is, Pacquiao has the brains to know how to use footwork. In and Out. So basically he fights like a really good, dumb amatuer.

Does that mean he is as good as a really good, dumb amatuer? Nope, not at all.
