Hatton's pad work isn't the same as Mayweather's... dunno what the hell you where watching.
When Hatton talked **** about Mayweather's pad work, it was because all they where doing was shoe shinning the pads on 24/7 and instead of Floyd following Roger, Roger was following Floyd.

Hatton was laughing at this kind of pad work, Roger is doing most of the work

Floyd's pad work was flashy and gentle and carried on for long periods of time. Hatton's work with Floyd Sr is based on fast combos. He's working on the same combo over and over, not doing the same thing at all. Floyd Jr's routine was more of a game of patticake.

He doesn't hit them like Floyd at all, Floyd hits like lighter. Hatton really is hitting them hard, Floyd maybe to doing it to protect his hands (lol I don't know) but he must do them for some reason and it works for him.
