I think I would edge it to Malignaggi because I do think that Malignaggi would beat Urango head to head... that jab man, it's beautiful.

I can't believe a no power fighter who breaks his right hand constantly is able to win championship fights with just his jab. That's really impressive to me.
I think Urango would beat Malinaggi, although that is interesting contrast of styles. That is why I have them tied for 2nd best at 140 I believe Urango is the better man, but Malinaggi was more highly thought of and more established. They are close though.

It would be a good fight come to think of it.

I think Malignaggi is a better boxer than Ngoudjo, which would make it more competitive than that fight was.

Some prime candidates for the silver medal on his resume:

Luis Collazo - He's a damn good welterweight, but it was a very close fight.
Paulie Malignaggi - I'm watching the fight right now... Malignaggi is slick and has a tremendous jab, and Hatton crushed him. Very impressive.
Jose Luis Castillo - Lots of name value, but in my view, shot to death before the fight. The Reyes and Ngoudjo fights gave some evidence and his streak of losses against average fighters gives this theory credence as well.
Carlos Maussa - A champion who knocked out the highly regarded (at the time at least) Vivan Harris. Definitely a rumor that his win over Harris was a fluke and he was a one-hit wonder though.
Juan Urango - Very good fighter, still only one loss to this day. Made an example out of Ngoudjo recently to pick up a belt.

Vote in the poll... in my vote, I'm going to include margin of victory in my decision... Collazo might be the best fighter on the resume, but the way the fight looked makes it less impressive.

        I voted Malignaggi.
you should've asked this question at the end of the week, tszyu will be his SECOND biggest win.....

          voted Urango

would be Collazo, but the performance was terrible. Which in my view needs to be considered when measuring a win's value

It has to be paulie Maglinaggi, Paulie was the right age not 35 and almost inactive like Tsyzu was when he fought Hatton, Paulie wasnt a shot war-torn castillo looking for a payday to pay back his debts, Paulie wasnt a 17-0 novice like Urango....Collazo would be close with paulie but the fact that Hatton beat Paulie M by KO looks better than the collazo fight which i thought he lost.

true but you could argue that Paulie just plain isn't that good in the first place

and it's also worth considering how much the Cotto battering took out of him

i must say i'm shocked that anyone would vote for Jose Luis Castillo.

the win is virtually meaningless in my eyes

I really do not think that Malinaggi is that good of a boxer, atleast recently. He has fast hands and decent reflexes but he is not a real defensive fighter, so he gets hit way to much for someone who can not really hit back. He can not just win playing defence either, he need to be able to make is offense work.

Against Urango though it may be enough, tough to say it is an interesting fight. Would be a good fight for Urango if he gets beat by Berto.

he knocked him out of the fight with a body shot, no one has done that to Castillo
